First, I’m an older woman who grew up in South Los Angeles. I present white but I am Mexican American. I’m still friends with the people I grew up with in LA (going to my 40th high school reunion in Oct). It’s eye opening to me how many of my old friends have grown up Democrat because we were taught that it was the people’s party. We believed everything our teachers and neighbors told us but then lived our lives and most made different choices. I’m conservative and have walked by faith my whole adult life. Most of us have left LA but I have to say, we were truly a melting pot of Hispanic, black, Samoan, and white kids who all loved each other. I’m not blind to racism now because there is SO MUCH division but back in the 70’s and 80’s in LA, we just literally grew up in each other’s homes so I learned all cultures. I would have the backs of any one of them to this day.

People are asleep. I used to consider myself a Democrat. I grew up in a Democrat household. My whole life all I heard was that Republicans were the party of war. When Obama came in I was happy, I thought wow, the first Black president. As a kid I grew up watching Black TV shows, Fresh Prince, Family Matters, Sister Sister. I never even stopped to think those people were different than me. It wasn’t until public school that it was constantly brought to my attention what racism was, what slavery was, etc. After 4 years of Obama I woke up. I switched to the right and my whole family switched as well. As Latinos we felt the country was going down the drain. The division, hatred and conflict Obama created in those 8 years was enough to ignite the flames of Marxism in America. People are asleep.

What these people don't understand is where that "free" money comes from. You see.... I don't get to spend Christmas eve with my family because I'm working. I get called out all hours of the night to fix water mains, in the pouring rain, while you sleep in your warm toasty beds. All YOU see is that im white, drive a nice car, and have a big house. You don't see the sacrifices I have to make to earn that money and then give some to you. and its not just a black thing. Plenty of whites are taking advantage of the system as well.

Nobodyfromnowhere it’s always been like this and I don’t blame them I’m white and I live in the ghetto it’s awe full we live with bugs drugs no electric no stove hook ups . The big part time jobs they offer have to work 5 or 6 to get off of it . Somedays you’d rather be dead truthfully And people don’t choose this . School is a joke it is set up to fail for a good portion. I went to school everyday till 18 and was told because I couldn’t get a normal diploma because I couldn’t pas mainstream coarses . They told me to drop out because the diploma that I would get is called an iep diploma equivalent to retardType diploma. So we didn’t want this but it happens more to the poor. Of course they would not want everyone to make it and for some reason it is mostly black peoples and it sad.

The commandments themselves tell me about him as well as the bible. My neighbor and I live next to each other. Over time I have learned that my neighbors are slightly ecentric, but in a good way. They love their plants and when the winter comes and there aren't many they use wire, to create plant patterns and lights to give them color. Jerry the older guy on the other side loves history. He can talk to you about anything in history for hours and collects war mementos. His wife is the person you would go to if you ever want to do something as a neighborhood. She knows everyone here and how to get them on board. She runs a true neighborhood news, Like this week, our neighbor down the street has an uncle that is in a nursing home with cancer, he isn't expected to make it that long and with covid they aren't allowed to visit. The neighborhood news asked what the community could do to help, as a result someone went over and showed her how to use skype, and tina another lady who lives in this neighborhood works at the nursing home, She is teaching her cousin how to use it. My point is we have a connection. We get to know one another. That grows fondness and then love. I like everybody, but love is more than a word to me.
