Was asked to record me drawing awhile back. Wasn't sure if people would find it entertaining since the process of doing it can be tedious after a certain amount of time, but it seems some do so was worth it :). Also... No ones mentioned it yet but @ the end I spelled Better as "Beter"... Not again! Fuck XD That's when you know I screwed up when distributing talent points to the talent tree haha.

I don't normally redraw anything unless I spilled coffee on it or folded the paper a bit. Most of the time it's a one time shot! I have a 2 hr time span to create the general look before the vivid imagery starts changing so making outlines quickly helps ground it. Overall the drawing took 3 days :)

I need to ask, is all the structure and detail out of your imagination, or do you have some inspiration from somewhere? Like I understand the whole gothic cathedral aesthetic is a given in 30/40K but you really go deep with the detail. Either way, absolutely badass. Also, I fucking love that drawing of the Doredeo class Dreadnaught. The Doredeo was the very first metal 40K miniature I ever bought back in the 90s.
@marklouisspark4 жыл бұрын
I use reference where I can, such as certain designs of vehicles and ships i'd say about 20% of it is reference, the rest is just me free styling. Some easter eggs sometimes of older designs for things like guns etc. I'm used to seeing details based off older drawings and artworks from days when fantasy artists filled their worlds when drawing or painting so it helps bridge those gaps as it's what i'm more used to :)

I wish you good fortune.
@marklouisspark4 жыл бұрын
It is only unique because I forge what was lost :) I give more credit to the artists who inspired me when it comes down to that. Fear not! I come from a line of stubborn blood. Once we are fixated on something the mission will be done, no matter if we like it or not, and for however long. This project is my mark on the world, even if it is for a small community, that is how I treat this. Adding any other artists will water down the goal of showing an example of will power individuals can possess. Any hollywood artist can come and tell me what's wrong with my work, but I guarantee none of them will ever pick up the torch to achieve such a feat. They know what it takes to make a 60 minute plus film at this level of detail as a studio, they could not fathom doing it on their own, which is what makes this special for me. It's also good for showing the new generations that people are more than capable if they put their mind and heart into it and that it takes hard work to get what you want.

I'm sorry but I'm a lil bit bugged with what is written below that each episode has 2 years buffer. Does it mean we need to wait 'til 2022 for it to be finished or it is already good to go with few tweaks needed before being launched?
@marklouisspark4 жыл бұрын
This isn't something that can be done overnight. People were down it was gonna take 6 years for me to create the full movie, so instead I've cut it into parts of 3. Think about it, 20 minutes took me a year and a half. By the time i'm done, I will have created a run time of 60+ mins after 6 years (4 years left). Astartes takes an average 5-7 months per episode and that's with more polish than I. Lord Inquisitor 7 years 8 minute video BUT with maximum visual quality. Ending of Part 1 has had a time lapse video already stating the time it will take for each episode and how long ill be doing this for. No matter how many times I seem to say or write it out, people always miss the information. CGI isn't created out of thin air as most people believe :P Takes a lot of work to do. And the reason I don't get help from other artists is because this is what i'm gonna leave behind so when i'm 90 I can show my great grand kids what I was able to create on my own back in the day.
@kennethcastillo96674 жыл бұрын
@@marklouisspark no worries for me. I've been always down with waiting for a great WH content. I have not read about the timeframe needed to create the part 2 but considering how long it took Astartes which is one i'm also waiting for the release of part 5, it is something that doesn't even bother me anymore. Don't be offended of what i said, i myself do a bit of animation in games as i do modding. A simple custom reload for animations will took you quite a while to finish it especially plus the fixes. It took me quite a good amount time to be able to integrate it in the games as I'm not an IT graduate or anything related whatsoever.
