I am a 70 year old man. Every time I read / watch anything about Gandhi, I am so humbled. I get so emotional and I am in a state of inspiration to realize - such Great souls walked on this earth. Gandhi represents one extreme dimension of Human Greatness. We are forever indebted to this Great man who showed us that there are many ways to resolve issues outside our normal capacities of thought. 🙏🏼

This is WONDERFUL! I saw the feature in a theater while I was a cinema student in the year it was first released! I've been looking for a behind-the-scenes documentary like this for years! I wonder why this documentary wasn't a bonus or special feature on the DVD or Blu-ray release? The only thing that would be better, would be for, someday soon, a remake to be made by an Indian production company, written and directed by native Indians, and starring an Indian actor as Gandhi. Thank you for sharing!

We Indians today will mix it up with several biases that will taint the truth. Surprisingly, a large segment of Indians are critical of our Freedom Fighters, especially Gandhi and Nehru. Go figure.

Excellent memorable work . One can watch it multiple times and find something hidden. The faces around Gandhi, keep on reminding the real persons in those times if one looks these carefully. The detailing is amazing. Perhaps, inclusion of Bose, Tagore and Ambedkar could have been made it more realistic.

How ironic but unsurprising that the definitive movie on Gandhi should be made by an Englishman. And thank God no Indian producer has sought to make/remake it, for it would be rubbish, unless Shekhar Kapur directed. Could the government of India please commission Shekhar Kapur to make biopics of Pandit Nehru, Sardar Patel, Maulana Azad?

Given the current situation in India, this film might just as well be dismissed as fiction. This wretched BJP government does NOT abide by Gandhi's principles - just ask Muslims or any other religious minority! I don't care how many Gandhi portraits or statues you see! With mob violence, vigilante killings, rape, and political corruption on the upswing, the Mahatma would not recognize his country. And guess what, folks, his assassin, Nathuram Godse, is being worshipped and glorified in Hindu temples and elsewhere. Even the "Gandhi" film was not a big success in India!
