I heard a rumor years ago, that before Michael Jackson died, Michael Flatley had an idea for the 2 of them to do a show together. I don't know how true that was, but that would have been spectacular!! M.J was quite the dancer himself. Imagine what these 2 could have done together. 2 of the greatest "Michaels" in entertainment teaming up. Sad that it didn't happen.

Don’t ever let it be said that most dancers (especially of Flatley’s caliber & style) aren’t athletes. They are indeed. In fact, ballet dancers, tap, ballroom, modern jazz, Irish step dancers, country/western, waltzes-every mode of dance-requires incredible dedication & athleticism.

Riverdance has done it, don't know about this show. I think the touring companies may have but not Flatley's. When I saw it live (alternate company) the taps did seem to be recorded, they were just too loud. Maybe it makes up for the occasional lack of technique or something, I don't know. There's a technique for getting the taps to sound, down to putting mikes on the shoes but I don't know if they did that.

In Liverpool, UK, I watched Lord Of The Dance and the taps were definitely recorded. Seeing Riverdance and Lord Of The Dance is always amazing, but when you've seen Michael Flatley perform in both roles, nothing could ever live up to him.

This show does not record the taps. There are mic's in the dancing floor and around it. Thats how they make the taps sound hard.

I belive people do not understand the difference between citizenship and nationality. Just because a person is born in one country does not mean that person of that country's nationality. One can be Irish, born and raised in USA, the nationality is still Irish just the citizenship is U.S.

His parents are both born from Ireland, that gives him right to claim Citizenship in Ireland, merely a matter of him applying for it, which He well knows and probably already has. It's called Dual Citizenship, maybe research before stating mis facts, eh?

@@JasLV actually not correct he us american by nationality Irish descent. He is a perfect combo of both worlds. Irish uniquness and American ingenuity. Beautiful. I was privileged to see this at the Lyric in Baltimore. Will never forget the beauty.

@@imnoangeloreilly1475 It depends how you interpret the word nationality. In U.S. it is what you are saying but not all the countries define the word nationality the same way. For example. A friend of mine was born in USSR of Armenian decent, was raised in Russia and immigrated to U.S. In Russia he is a Russian citizen but nationality is Armenian. In U.S. he is a U.S. citizen but nationality Russian.
