Eric Staniforth! He used to be a guardian as such. Kind of a warden park keeper. He ruled with a iron hand & Didn't suffer fool's. Although he was very fair a kind man & Very approachable.Back in the day's before Pennington nature reserve was as it is now he gave the poachers out lamping & Catching rabbits a tough time. He would confiscate lamps air rifles & other poaching paraphernalia. If it got up close and personal he never took a step back. What a legacy he left. Wonder where he is now?
