Prophecy is such an awesome song! Quick question: Are there moments when you're writing riffs, and it sounds awesome, but you're afraid that you've already written a similar riff and recycled?

Thanks and great question! It's usually not an issue but every now and then it can be a potential pitfall and I have to think really hard if an idea has been used before, but it's mostly melodies rather than riffs that happens with. It's actually way worse for video game composing as you try for a strong simple theme and can accidentally rip something off that you've genuinely never heard before.

@@andygillion Almost every time I try to do a jam sesh and find something I think sounds cool, 3 days later at a totally random time it will pop back into my head like "oh yeah, that melody's from [insert obscure game music]"
