Nemesis, despite its many flaws, is my favorite of the Next Generation movies, with First Contact as a close second. My big problem though with the first three TNG films is that they really did look like and feel like overblown, two-hour episodes. Even First Contact looked better on home video than it did in the cinema. Nemesis, for me, was the first TNG era film that looked like an actual big-screen event. Also, practically the entire last half of the film is one big space-chase/battle sequence.

Personal and I express personal favourite is generations. My father died and my grandfather a month to the day after and I was destroyed. Generations took on a whole new meaning after that. Live your life and don't hang on or cling-on if you will to it. Cherish every moment. The nexus is a tempting place when you lose someone close.

I'm glad to see that Nemesis didn't break his career. I think he did a terrific job as Shinzon...and I liked his portrayal of Mad Max in Fury Road.

2002: Star Trek vs Star Wars, Star Wars won. I never forget that year when two of the world's finest of sci-fi cinema battle for dominance. I was in middle school when both Nemesis and Attack of the Clones came out. At the end of the seventh grade, everybody at school was so stoked about Episode 2. Later on in that same year, when Nemesis came out, I was the only kid in school to see the final TNG film. In the eighth grade, no one of my classmates not Trekkies, but into Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter. But one film dissed trumped Trek in the opening night was Drumline. Now, I'm in my 30s (Millennial) recalling being so lucky to see both franchises being a fan of. Never forget of those opening nights of both films at a full house at the cinema. What a wonderful time it is back in the day twenty years ago to be a SCI-FI fan! #millennialmemories #geek

It is kind of funny to read that 'real Trek' stopped to exist somewhere in the TNG- films. That's just the same thing I heard when the Kelvin timeline appeared. Then they said it for Discovery of course. I'm pretty sure some even exclude Voy from being Trek as well xD

Dragan Stevenson true enough, but I didn’t know that he actually does come back in the comics when I watched the movie. Needless to say I was thankful, but I was still disappointed that he “died” in that way

It's too bad the movie Nemesis didn't do good in the theaters. removing 20 minutes of key footage to "dumb" it down proved to be disastrous. Also what didn't make sense to fans was the death of Data, yet they created "b-4". ????? the writer did not really understand and know the STTNG time line..... Now many years later we hear Captain Picard will be resurrected. In looking into this further, I believe to be a last ditch effort to save the failing Star Trek Discovery. here's my solution. BRING IT TO FREE TV!!!

Funny thing was, the primary writer of Nemesis (John Logan, Gladiator) said he was a Star Trek fan. Sadly, he wrote it more as if he were in fanboy mode. I remember reading an interview where he said he wanted to see the Enterprise do things it had never done before. Well, it certainly and quite mysteriously grew two more decks somehow. Lol!

Tom Hardy never talks about this film or includes it on his resume though the actor is magnificent and very good with accents . I read that Marina Sirtis got very sick during the action scenes since the bridge was on a moveable rig as when supposedly hit by torpedoes she got motion sickness .

MOST real Star Trek fans gave up after Insurrection.....Yes it was that bad...I still remember as the film opens with some lame ass BUTTERFLY MUSIC, that Insurrection was going to suck, and I was right(in empty theater too).....By the time Nemesis came out, I had lost interest in the way these films were going, and again ALL because of Insurrection...... Alot of real and casual fans agreed, as Nemesis TANKED....Few cared about a LAME remake of Wrath of Khan with the TNG crew.... This also showed Paramount had NO idea what else to do with the TNG crew(ofcourse the last few seasons of TNG mostly sucked too, so no real surprise I guess)...... It's almost like after they did INSURRECTION, they thought "HEY, let's do a Wrath of Khan trilogy"....The problem is Insurrection KILLED the franchise...They were one movie too late in realizing the TRILOGY thing....For those defending INSURRECTION, the box office and fan APATHY toward TNG is a REALITY.......And ALL because of INSURRECTION...

This movie was such a disappointment. Not only does Data die but it’s almost impossible to accept that Shinzon is Picard, they look nothing alike and it just ruins the whole movie when you can’t suspend disbelief. Also introducing the Remans like this is ridiculous, in forty plus years of Trek this is the first time we ever hear of them?? Also, where did Shinzon acquire his stuffy accent in the mines of Remus?? I’m glad they had such a good time filming this it’s just too bad they didn’t consider how terrible it is to watch. Also the CGI of the ships crashing is just awful, it looks fake af and shields were raised so the ships just should have bounced off each other. Continuity error.

No, the worst star trek movie is indeed Nemesis. I hope in the upcoming Picard series he wakes up from a nightmare in a cold sweat and talks about this terrible dream he had about a clone and then we can bury this catastrophe for good and remove it's rotten carcass from trek canon.
