To bring back a tragic event, Kyo ani was a studio who actually gave good salaries and welfare systems and of course they fell victim to such a horrific arson attack.

If u see China production, they have been catching up on Japan. So, you cant really complain about cost or payment since now people picky, u have to satisfy them by increasing ur workload and be precise on what peoples want. Well in conclusion, chances for job are becoming rare so animators will accept cheap payment even knowing they will get exploit. I'm an amateur animator myself in freelancer so I know all about this. They not willing to pay more for us as many compete for the job

I wish people wouldn’t just shit on this anime because it’s not exactly like the original. Sure it has its flaws, but the people working on this are trying their best! I mean, criticism is a good thing, but I saw that a lot of people just said it was bad just cuz they skipped some parts. Even though they did, they really fail to see the good in the anime and they always look at the bad things. We fans were blessed with an anime adaptation that we’ve been praying for for years, and the moment we do people just complain nonstop (not everyone, of course). I wish people would just be a little more appreciative of this anime.

As a webtoon reader myself, i just want to enjoy this anime as much as possible and not stressing myself out thinking this and that. Not really, people usually have a misconception of how big and influential Pierrot actually is. While they're not necessarily perfect (no studio is really), questionable management as an example, people blame Pierrot for stuff that's mostly fault of the production committees. People expect Pierrot to do things that are unreasonable from a business standpoint.

5:45 "...the speedy pacing of the story." That's something that I love about the webtoon, it doesn't delay the story and advances the story almost like realtime like. it's not filled up the backstories that bring the advancement of the story to a snail pace. Great work of art, beautifully paced.

Not really, pacing is about how to move beat bybbeat, bsckstories and flashbacks can also work, you have something like "That Day" from AoT season 3, introducing new worldbuilding, characters, flushing them out and making the world believable and consistent in the span of 2 chapters or one episode, that IS good pacing, flashbacks become overwhelming and bad when they don't move the story forward (which is in a way what you wanted to say) if a flashback is there just to make us feel bad or sad, better make it fast and clean, but if it moves the story onwards, it doesn't matter how much time it takes or even how much its spread around the story (Tokyo Ghoul for example, Purple Hyacinth also)

I really love how the director , producer and their team are working really hard. When they talk about it, we can see their passion for animating. wowoWOW. I wish more documentaries like this exist. I have so many thoughts, but most importantly what I want to say is: THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR WORKING HARD TO MAKE THIS AMAZING PROJECT. This anime took me by a storm. I saw that Mappa was doing it, so I already had high expectations, but I didn't know what the Manhwa was about, except that it's action-based. I can safely say my expectations were exceeded. Only 3 episodes are out so far, but the consistent HIGH QUALITY Sakuga animations are just mind-blowing. I am really excited for what's to come!! Also documentaries like this are really good for unthankful spoiled brats who know nothing of the immense effort that goes into producing animation (even more with high quality animation). I hope you realize that shows like this don't appear every day and I hope you people start being more appreciative.

A little scuffle happened but he found the fruit there and ate it. (I won't say who the old man is cuz that'd be a spoiler). Also for Mori's punishment Mujin literally called Mori's grandpa and a little comedy happened. Anyways the piintbus they changed a lot but the flow is going good till now.

Not really. There many of director who are foreigners same goes for animators. They are mostly freelancers and they take anyone who lives in Japan and have the talent and skills. They will usually take more skilled directors for huge anime shows or because they has already worked on something similar. Also for a bunch of shows credit when the names are in romaji you can also see a bunch of names that are not japanese mainly korean and chinese and then other names.

Thanks to producer park sung hoo and all the others that took part in the anime! As for me(a Korean fan of both the webtoon and anime), I think the anime was a considerable success, good start for a webtoon original anime(just my opinion). I've actually been a bit disappointed by the ToG(tower of god-don't know the capitals sorry)cause it seemed they changed a lot from the original plot and story. But the GoH didn't seem to change a lot from the original story, and had extreme quality, so I felt it was worth to watch. Also, the extreme action scenes meant they had put a lot of effort and work in it, and that felt satisfying too.(the key point why i think it's better than toG)I know it's frustrating they had to put more than 100 chapters in this one anime; but you could see in the anime that they tried to show the main setups you need to understand the story. These could only be my opinion, but I've seen many korean fans agreeing to this. Regardless of the advantage/disadvantage of the anime, I wanna give a thumbs-up to the production crew for such a great anime producing. Thanks for the hard work!!

It's kinda sad that this anime did so bad in terms of critics, seeing the popularity that Jujutsu Kaisen got with the same team behind it, MAPPA will probably focus on JJK instead of GOH, watching Sung Ho Park so happy working in this project, idk, makes me sad, still greatfull at MAPPA cause JJK it's just amazing

I remember me and my friend were bored one day and we were looking through HBO and we seen God of high-school we read the description and we decided to try it out we binged watched it in 2 days and my God did we love it, it has so many scenes that leave you in awe and the story is pretty basic but the way the characters interact is really nice and the last episode was my favorite, after watching this documentary it makes me love the series even more

Niko Laurila I looked at the recruitment page and the only salary I see is ¥230,000 (and up) but this applies to MAPPA’s CG department, production assistant and production desk, as well as the copyright department. It doesn’t apply to the animation department (in fact I don’t even see a recruitment page for them. If you have a link for that could you please send?). The departments I’ve just mentioned have always been known to get higher pay than most animators so it’s not surprising that they’d be getting that much for their monthly salary (though I’m fairly certain that some of those production assistants are putting in more than 45 hours of over time depending on how bad the show’s schedule is). To add to this, most of the key animators on MAPPA shows are freelancers, not in-house, so they wouldn’t even be getting a salary, they’d be getting pay per cut. They’d still have strict deadlines to meet. There was even an incident (I can’t find the tweet unfortunately) where hisashi eguchi was complaining about MAPPA not paying him the agreed amount. I haven’t looked at the exact starting salary for kyoAni staff, but I would assume the slightly starting salary would carry just as much (if not more) value as the starting salary for MAPPA Production assistants because the cost of living in Kyoto (where kyoani is based) is lower than in Tokyo (where MAPPA is).

Wish mappa put the effort like this to Attack on titan, they have so much potential but they are overworking themselves by working on 3 anime’s at the same time without taking a breather. Make 1-finish then start the other like damn its that easy. You dont have to make so many at the same time.

Not as easy as it sounds, investors decided that the Final Season needed to be released by October, following the ending of the Manga, so it would give them more money. Wit declined that, ofc because of schedule, and Mappa is the only one that said yes, not even Deen, who took NNT, for example, accepted Aot Final Season. There is more than just "animating a manga", at the end of the day, it's bussiness.
