My English teacher played this in junior high school. I got goose bumps and couldn't wait tp buy the long playing album.

I always was a huge fan of Anita Kerr since the '60s. I emailed her once in 2016, n she responded. That was a great experience. She was living in Switzerland at the time. I have some of her albums. She did a tribute album, along w Rod McKuen, for Bert Kaempfert, of whom I always was a huge fan, too. I just found out she passed away last year. What a musical genius she was. And McKuen was a great poet, n he had a great crooner voice. Oh, and I was almost forgeting, it's the 1st time I hear her talking, at least in an interview, which is really great. Thanks so much for the upload.

This was my first album of Rod McKuen that I bought when I was in college many, many moons ago. It was inspirational; my roommate and I would play this album just about everyday. When "The Sky" came out, I rushed out to buy it when it came out. I still have both albums.

I'm a huge Anita Kerr fan, and want to thank you for this precious gem. Hey, back in 1979, my brother had a copy of The Sea on cassette (transferred from his reel-to-reel pre-recorded tape) which he played through his huge Koss headphones one day while walking along the beach in Malibu. Some bikini clad babes asked him what he was listening to, so he let one of them listen. One girl then asked the other, "what is it?" She replied, "Some guy talking about the beach!"

@@BadfingerFan haha I love that story. I know Anita Kerr retired to Switzerland in the 1970s. I can't find any information out about her life nowadays. It would be interesting to hear from her. She's a very talented person and is responsible for making one of my favorite albums.

It is! You can buy hard copies on ebay or amazon or Rod McKuen's official webstore, 'Stanyan House.' You can also buy digital copies on iTunes, Amazon, or Rod McKuen's bandcamp page. The cheapest you can get it is probably $10- either on ebay or a digital copy. Let me know if you have any luck.
