In anticipation of the upcoming release of my major project, Wild Paper, I wanted to introduce you to what it is and the work that went into making it a reality. From hand-drawn sketches to coded assets, Wild Paper has a lot to offer in terms of novelty and variety.
Thanks so much to collectors of my work. Your support makes projects like these possible. Look for Wild Paper in March 2022.
Thanks so much for watching and I'll see ya again, real soon! :-)

I see Wild Paper as a kind of digital homage to Bob Ross. Well done, Ed. I like your idea of using analog drawings in a digital randomized code-driven work. Now, if you are open to constructive and well-intentioned critique, read on. To me, the illusion of foreground, middle ground and background is lost because the level of detail on your assets is not linear to the viewer's location. For example, the visual fidelity of the middle ground is lower than the foreground and background. This results in collage-like look (also emphasized by the white border and shadows around the illustrations), rather than a perspective you can disappear into. Also, in my eyes, the "flat" visual style of your backgrounds clashes with your assets and prevents a homogeneous merging of subject and background. But hey that's just my $0.05, and I'm probably just an old man yelling at clouds. I absolutely acknowledge your artistic freedom and choices, and wish you all the best with the sale of your NFT series. Looking forward to more videos from you!

Thank you for the very diplomatically stated critique. I love that; you are very kind, sir. I get what you are saying; and, interestingly, I considered some of the same things you mentioned. I was deliberate with the collage-effect in this work. I have plans for incorporating the elements more illusorily so the distinctions aren't so abrupt. The techniques are a w.i.p., so hopefully, by my next project I can incorporate your thoughtful suggestions. They are greatly appreciated! Thanks, again for the critique and the support.
