It’s been suggested by others that the only place for an emergency contact device ie Epirb or inreach is on you. If you come off and can’t get back to the bike you’re in trouble.

My wife told me the same thing. On this trip we all had an inreachs. The others had them on them, so wasn't to concerned this time round. You are right though

How many kms were on Andy’s bike when he got the rebuild? Was it a piston change?

Full rebuild, top and bottom end. He bought the bike second hand. So we think it was raced before. Had around 100 hours.

Yeah, apparently a stator magnet cracked or something and bits were flying around. The main bearing taking the majority of the hit. It fell apart when removed.
