Darkness try gargling with warm salt water that usually helps me out with a soar throat.

You can also gargle hydrogen peroxide for a sore throat. Then try drinking hot tea (as hot as you can tolerate without burning your mouth) with honey - lots of honey - to help soothe a sore throat. There are some teas that are more beneficial to a sore throat than others, such as: ginger root, peppermint, chamomile, & green tea. You can Google it, & it will even tell you of some things that you can add to the tea like cinnamon.
