Imagine is his grave was found empty, the letters gone and casket neatly lain in front of the grave without the dirt under being touched. The grave would be dug up only to find no casket and a single letter saying "My most daring escape after (years) has been completed." And with that Houdini sightings become the new trend

The disappearing elephant trick was clearly done with mirrors. Houdini opened the box, what the audience thought they were seeing was the audience on the other side, but in fact, it was their own reflection. I'm guessing Houdini closed the box before the audience realized that.

5:30 probably by using the mirror trick, there are mirrors placed on both sides of the box, one already set in place and the other one falls into place once the elephant is in. So when the box is opened, it looks like both sides are opened and that they’re seeing the audience on the other side but they’re actually just looking at themselves. sorry if this is a sucky explanation, i just woke up lmao

I like to see an episode on Doctor James Barry, who held the equivalent medical rank of general in the British army during the Victorian era. He was at odds with Florence Nightingale and was once accused of homosexual relations with the governor of South Africa. After he died they discovered he was actually a woman but fooled the British army for decades.

Btw, that part with Doyle's photos of Fairy's, that's actually true, there was a famous hoax in which two ladies pretended they saw actual Fairy's and Doyle was among the few who believed them.

I enjoyed the animation. felt like I knew all the basic stuff ,was interested in his last request asking his wife to perform a ritual called the sense on his grave to communicate.It was margery and she had all the judges on the panel convinced except houdini Imagine that.He was a great man.
