Back then we didnt know why bcuz it was happening in real time but we knew cod, cod2, cod4, and mw2, are the best cods ever then we found out they were all made by the same dream team and why all the other cods were trash. jetpacks in a shooting game aren't really anything new and weren't when TItanfall came out either. There's an old side scrolling shooter game called Soldat that has jet boots you can fly around with, which are functionally the same thing. And there's also an even older 3D shooter called TRIBES that had jetpacks or jet boots of some kind. Some of the other movement stuff mighta been new though, I'm not sure.

Interesting, I never heard of Soldat or TRIBES. I'm sure there are quite a few games with jetpacks before Titanfall was released. I guess the point I was trying to make is that Titanfall made advanced movement and mobility more popular and mainstream, which started a trend of other franchises updating there own movement system to be faster. 😀

What about Jason West? You centered the video around Zampella, while they both worked together at least since they both founded Infinity Ward and neither'd get where they did without each other and given Zampellas current management, he seems to have relied on West. You can see that despite Titanfall 2's "success" (success in terms of being a good product and only that), the quality in Respawns products sank drastically* Games getting bugier, servers weaker and overstressed, security has been thrown out the window and Zampella just keeps on saying "TF2 made us, we really care about it" while neglecting both Titanfall titles and milking all Apex players only for their money. Vince Zampella didn't change the FPS scene on his own, the only thing he's done on his own is selling out to EA and proving to all AAA publishers how easy it is to milk people's wallets without having to care about the product. * (Jason West left Respawn Entertainment in 2013 due to family issues)
