What happened to Mr. Yamashita and Momoka: let's start with Yamashita, after he resigned from the branch office cuz he couldn't bear it, he has a bigger problem awaits him. His wife found out about his affair with Momoka and what he did at work, his wife divorced and charged him alimony and child support and sue Momoka too. His kids also cut ties with him saying that they don't want to have a dad who look down on people and harass them, which made him shocked and left him. Since he's been blacklisted from every companies he goes to, he was seen working at the fishing boat in this dangerous ocean to pay off the debt. As for Momoka, after got rejected by Keiichi who tries to get back together with him after she found out that Yamashita got transferred, her fate is much worse. Yamashita's wife suing her for damages for having a affair, her life is ruined and her parents cut ties with her when they found out the truth and her affair, she has no one. After finding out that Keiichi had moved on and started dating Yui with marriage in mind, her life was already in despair, realizing that she was no match for Yui, instead of sabotaging their relationship, she was hunting down Yamashita whose the root of her life was ruined. When she found Yamashita, she attacked him in a fit of rage with a knife for ruining her life, then the police arrived and subdue her til she surrendered. Momoka was arrested for battery assault and attempted murder and Yamashita was taken to the hospital and ended up being paralyzed due of getting stabbed in the spine making stuck to his wheelchair, unable to walk away for years.

Here’s just what I think happened after the ending: After, resigning and virtually being abandoned by his family, Mr.Yamashita gradually fell into a deep depression like state which made it impossible for him to find a stable job and so he became homeless which only added on to his depression. Momoka’s fate is somewhat similar as she was made to pay alimony to Yamashita’s now ex-wife and lost nearly all of her savings…she tries to go to one of her wealthy“friends” for help but they are just as judgmental and superficial as she is and refuse to help her now that she, herself is nothing but a jobless bum…and the same goes for her entire extended family, who all cut ties with her and failing to get back together with her ex-husband, Keiichi…she was left with no choice but to find a job…ironically enough she would end up moving to the countryside herself and now works as a farmhand 0:00
