I would be awesome if there was an monster that lurked in oceans and rivers that could swim faster than the player and could destroy boats if the player doesn't react fast enough, since it's pretty easy to escape most horror mods in the water because most of them can't swim.

I think the closest mod I've played to be deep sea horror would be "Ice and Fire" because there are gigantic sea serpents that can swim terrifyingly fast even if you're in a boat, shoot out a stream of boiling water from their mouth and let out a booming roar before leaping out of the water to slam you which kills you instantly. Out of all the monstrosities in that mod, sea serpents scare me the most.

sea dweller, an angler fish who will make the water become much less clear but you can see the light on top of it's head to tell where it is, this one has no sounds but it just would feel intense due to a lack of sounds during the chase and the knowledge that a terrifying creature is right behind you and not having any idea where you are going.

This! This is so good! The Manbear is that subtle kind of eerie and scary entity that you never know when it's gonna attack or appear. @@S.Stalev the only one I bother to play with right now is the night dweller mod but not the newest version, the version I play on he leaves me alone enough to where I’m comfortable enough to go outside and harvest crops or something at night, so when he appears it actually gets me a bit, but the cave dweller appears too often and makes too much noise, I think a lot of the horror mods out there try to make the entire game revolve around surviving it’s monster, when in reality we want to play Minecraft but have something spooky occasionally appear.

This series is so great. Because of the shaders, fog, and (usually) dim lighting, every time the Manbear or Deep Dweller appears it feels like a truly terrifying encounter. You rarely ever get to see a good proper look at the monsters, and it makes it even scarier. Your encounter with the Deep Dweller literally felt like something out of a horror movie. Silence, flickering lights in the liminal halls of the mineshaft, and then the music kicks in (along with the heartbeat sound effect) as you hear the monster rushing towards you as nothing more than a silhouette. Then you escape, and there's a moment of quiet as you think you're safe... And then it steps through the portal and starts chasing you again! Perfection!

I love both the Deep Dweller and the Manbear, they really bring a breath of fresh air to the Minecraft Horror Scene. You nailed making an Agressive Cave mob without it feeling like just another dweller, and the Manbear is just something else, he gives me the same eerie unpredicatble vibes that the From the Fog datapack does. I cant wait to try these out when they are ready to ship out. Also ever since I watched this series and TheMisterEpic's video on White Eyes (the first itteration of herobrine) id love to see your team's take on that entity from minecraft's past.

I like how the original cave dweller and the deep dweller when compared feel like different predators adapted to hunt in different environments. One being a stealthy, ambush predator and the other being a walking tank. (Long nonsensical lore I came up with inbound!) The cave dweller was an ambush predator, having a long spindly form so it could hide itself easier and chase prey with greater efficiency. Its much more frail form however meant that it couldn't often afford to attack prey head on, so it would frequently stalk its prey and wait for the perfect moment to strike, even playing around with prey from time to time. It had retained its eyes because it resided in caves closer to the surface, where natural light could still pour in from the surface. This natural light meant that plants like glowberries could grow and flourish in the caves, and with its acute eyes it could spot them and feast upon them. These eyes were also useful in spotting the torches of more sapient prey that dared to venture into the caves. The deep dweller on the other hand lived in the harsher, darker environments of the deep caves. It had long since lost its eyes due to the severe lack of light in the caves, however it did have superb hearing, being able to sense even the slightest vibrations in the air. It faced harsher competition from creatures such as the warden, so it became bulkier and sturdier to compensate. Due to sparse amounts of food and high competition it had to employ much more aggressive hunting tactics, unlike the cave dweller it couldn't afford to play around with its prey since it might not get such a chance again. The creature had even taken a page from its main rival, the warden, and employed a sonic scream that could destroy terrain to make sure prey couldn't get away easily.

Dude, me and my friend LOVE making worlds that consist around horror. We’ve been feeling a little meh with it recently, partially with us adding a ton of op weapons to kill dwellers after getting bored with them, but also with the bland and unoriginal dwellers that are just “RAHH WE’RE GONNA GET YOU!” This is the type of horror I want. You encounter the manbear so rarely that you’ll get too comfortable and then realize you’re in danger. And with the deep dweller, it’s not the entirety of caves that you have to worry about, just the deep caverns. Which makes you fear it a lot more. If these mods ever go out to the public for anywhere, I will be making a world IMMEDIATELY. Thank you for making something like this

On cold sweat, ice emits cold. Boilers aren’t a heat source just yet, because you’re supposed to use water skin to boil water in it. A hearth is what you need to balance your temperature. It doesn’t keep the fuel when you mine it though, and it works in a closed area

Thank you for taking the big pill and making something interesting and not killing it within the first or second video. Something to go back to every episode. I miss that kinda content. Disabling other mobs so that you can focus on the entities really enhanced the experience. This makes me wish for a modpack where we are in an island with several biomes with each biome having its own dedicated entity/entities to stalk you. To escape you would have to go through all the biomes to gather resources or key items to call for help or build a boat or something.

@idk_someguy the boiler doesn't heat you up when just standing near it. There's something called waterskin in this mod. If you put it filled up with water to the boiler it will slowly gain temperature. Max temp. is 120°. You right click with it for it to use it. Hope that helps!

The fact the Deep Dweller has Warden attacks and is flickering lights already makes him a better version than the reskin dwellers. Its more original in my opinion. EDIT: Plus the sounds, they're very good compared to just being loud. Can't wait to have this creature and the Manbear in my world. Perhaps bleed it in like it's always been, for example one day you come across a randomly generated structure from a mod that connects with one or multiple of the monsters and that leads you to an adventure, not the same every time, hell this could even just be a one time thing.
