Great episode. Hear me out. Luke is my favourite character next to Leia , (and now Din Din Jarin and Grogu). However, having Luke return did take me out a bit of the story as much as I love there character. It worries me that TPTB are so focused on spinoffs and possibly losing the quality and originality of this series. I hope I'm wrong. I think at some point, Grogu will come back to Din in Mandalore. Din has a misconception of what Mandalore is like now, and he'll learn more about. He'll be formulating his identity and what is important to him. At least, I sure hope that's where it's going. I've so enjoyed watching this series because of its originality, respecting the lore of the SW universe, but without always being attached to the legacy characters.

my mother is from a Foreign country and is over 80yo, never seen star wars at all. She barely understands English. I introduced to her and binged watched with her every single canon star wars having to explain everything in her native language over the course of a year, when she saw this episode, she knew it was luke skywalker as soon as she saw the x-wing, and she Cried, but interestingly, she cried when Grogu said Goodbye, and Cried when she saw R2D2 again, instead of crying for Luke. LOL

What a finale!!! I love it how they mirrored Vader’s corridor scene in Rogue One (showing why he’s such a bad ass and revered Sith Lord) with Luke in this episode (showing why he’s a bad ass and revered Jedi). Speaking of which, I’d love to see Gareth Edwards direct an episode of this show. I think the way he approached Rogue One is the same as the tone approach of this show. It’s a story set around the events of the Skywalker saga but is very much its own thing and only borrowing elements of the Skywalker movies when necessary to aid the story. In the hands of a lesser director or writer the temptation to give Vader more screen time in Rogue One to please fans would’ve been too tempting, but Gareth used him just enough and to great effect. It is the same with characters from other shows and movies used in The Mandalorian. They are used just enough in order to push the story further. They are there to serve the story and not overshadow it. God I love this show.... I have spoken. 😊

Not getting Sebastian Stan to be like skywalker is such a missed opportunity. I wish it would happen not only for the fans, but for him ya know. Give the guy a chance with a truly important character

Loved the episode. Was emotional in every way possible, the reveal was incredible, so well done, the fact we see it happening through the lens of the other characters just brings so much life to the myth and legend of those extraordinary individuals (I don't know why I'm trying to be vague when the comments are basically only spoilers :p ), then the emotion of that last scene was so touching, so heartbreaking but so well-earned (the cgi is kinda rough but it's dismissible because the scene is so well made), and then the tension of it all, how they manage to build it up till the point there's no way out besides Rescue. Really good

A masterpiece.! This is what you get when you stay true to the original plot without wanting to re-become who knows what, as it happened with STAR TREK.

What if season 1-2 is "The Book of Din Djarin" 3-4 is "The Book of Boba Fett" and 5-6 is "The Book of Bo Katan". Its still "The Mandalorian" its just a new focus each book.

Maybe after they deal with all the dark saber stuff their will be a time jump and grogu will be done training and ask to be returned to Din...Grogu has already been trained by several Jedi masters so maybe it won’t take as long to finish off the training at least to the point that he can take care of himself and be safe. There is no way Grogu was killed at the school...Grogu has a big future with Star Wars. He’s one of the most beloved character in Star Wars history

This show, and the range of emotions I felt watching it... made me fall back in love with Star Wars. And has been one of the few bright spots in 2020

I still think it would've been hilarious if the Jedi rolled back his hood to reveal Jar Jar Binks as he exclaims, "Meeza strong with Force now!" Imagine the initial shock and horror. LOL!

We all did. Which made this deepfake looking mess even more underwhelming, at least for me.

I lost it when I saw Boba got his own series or a focus on his character in S3. With Jeremy Bulloch dying hours earlier in the day, I couldn't have thought of a more timeously apt announcement. I would love to have known if he knew this was coming before he passed away. RIP Boba Fett .... Long live Boba Fett!

So, yeah, don't think too much about this part but Grogo is 50... the Temple was destroyed in about 20 years. He won't be very much bigger at 70.

Ikr, hence why if he really was at that temple, it's pretty unlikely that he survived Ben's temper tantrum.
