Probably the best comparison video I’ve ever seen between the two main competitors for Star Wars 6” figures. Since I primarily buy Hasbro, mostly due to price and the vast volume of figures they roll out vs SHF’s more limited releases, I don’t think twice about being a Hasbro collector. If I want top notch quality, then I’ll turn to Hot Toys. Well done! Thank you. Hope to see more of these type of comparison videos in the future. They’re not necessary for 90% or more of releases, but could be very useful for the occasional head scratcher. Cheers!

Thanks for the awesome side by side Bobby! I spent about 2 hours painting and futzin up the cape on the FH fig.. looks like it stepped out of the show now.. but for the price point it should have been a lot better as far as weathering there was no excuse for that cape..

How can you possibly give SH the points for sculpt and build. First the SH has a TON of visible joints, where the Hasbro has at least tried to hide them with sculpt. I don't know how anyone looking at them side by side thinks the SH looks better. It looks like a cheap KO with the bright paint and mini head. The SH paint is much to bright and clean for a "old western" feel. Hasbro looks like a toy that someone who likes the show and toys would make. SH looks like a cartoon version or someone in bad cosplay. It looks like SH ran out of money so they didn't finish the paint, grabbed the nearest scrap of industrial toilet paper for the cape, and KO'd somebody else's head and that's why its undersized

I collect both lines but will stick to Hasbro on this one... with several seasons of Mando coming I’m sure there will be a different looking Mando figure each year (So I’ll go with the cheapest) I have pre ordered the shf IG11 though.

Strange how both were very neck and neck throughout the video, but the final 7-2 score wouldn't lead you to believe so. Maybe it's cause for a reevaluation of the grading scale? Probably not though I still find it interesting.

SHF don't do helmeted characters very well because they forget that there are whole heads beneath the helmets. Their scaling is off.

I love sh figuarts but I like the black series mandalorian better. I just don't like the holster swap out and the rifle breaks up into to many pieces

I'm with Edna Mode on this one, no capes! The shf one is terrible. I only have a limited set of mcu sfh figures, but of the 2 capes Dr Strange's plastic one is an abomination, infinty war Thors is quite nice. I know they are hard to do well but did they even try here.

Bobby Skullface oh I see. I see that you reviewed the mark 46 and the mark 47(which is just a repaint). I recommend trying out some of the more recently released shf iron man. Of all the shf iron man, the mk 7 probably looks the closest to its on screen version in terms of proportions and aesthetic.

The hasbro Mando was selling way higher than sh figure art on the secondary market plus hasbro had product out way before sh figure arts. That should say something about these figures too, in my opinion

I received the black series Mando last week. It's a pretty fantastic figure for the price. I agree that the proportions are better on it compared to the SHF. So far, I've been able to put him in any pose I've wished. I enjoy a well done SHF, but I think they missed the mark on this. The proportions are odd and the cape is too plain. I had to stick with BS. I'll get the SHF beskar armor Mando as it comes with far more accessories, but I feel like the Mafex will obliterate it.

@@hmp8350 I was referring to the black series for Mando's first armor. It is a more fun figure than the SHF. I did get the SHF for the beskar armor, which is nice looking, but no fun to pose and swap accessories. Black series beskar is again more fun. 👍

Is the SH Figuarts worth 3x the Black Series? No way. Is the Hot Toys worth 3x the SHF? Absolutely. I think the SHF Mandalorian is an absolute travesty for the price, tbh. Proportions are all over the place, likeness is lacking, the cape is a joke, and worst of all: there is no way a "human" head is fitting inside of that helmet. That's just my penny's worth, of course :-)

After you put the pictures on the head proportion looks better on the SHF, the Hadbro looks too big. By the way, the baby was right she actually felt the materials and quality. 😂

I really don’t like how the shf looks. The small head is just distracting and very convoluted way of holstering the weapons when the hasbro achieves this much better. Hasbro definitely needed a soft cape tho not sure why they went plastic.
