Btw... The new 3 movies coming out, are: -1st, a movie about the FIRST force user, 25,000 years ago. -2nd , a movie that is a conclusion of all the shows, (Mando, Boba, Ahsoka, etc.). -3rd, is the new Rey movie taking place 15 years after ''Rise of Skywalker." So, it's gonna be a while before the Rey movie. Hopefully, we'll have some changes in the story, to make things in the sequels make more sense! ...If you want more answers from this season, look for my comments down below. Answers for the clones, the spies, & why the season was... A bit OFF! LOL. Check it out. 🤘😁

Don't forget that the Mandalorian is made in old style theater serial style. This is merely the end of the Mandalorian: Book 1. All major loose ends tied up, and everyone is seemingly living happily ever after. Next season, Book 2 will begin, most likely with Chapter 1.

The Darksaber is supposed to be made of beskar... Gideon shouldn't have been able to crush it like that, even with a mechanized suit. And, I quote: "The Darksaber was an ancient black-bladed lightsaber. It had a unique blade that was shorter than that of most lightsabers, and shaped like a traditional sword. Its overall profile was distinctly Mandalorian with an angular pommel, hand guard, and slit-shaped blade emitter, all of which was made out of beskar." So, you're telling me that Moff Gideon crushed a beskar weapon with his powered-up hand? Really...?
@mojoriot2293
@mojoriot2293 Жыл бұрын
@Lord Splittawig I didn't know the dark saber was made of beskar.. If that's true, then crushing it with one hand, even if that hand had 'super strength,' it was pretty stupid to do that. My bet is that Kenedy woman had a hand in it, no pun intended, lol. Good catch...🤘😁

The Spies title just referred to the 12-man scouting party of Mandos (and maybe even Grogu) that were sent ahead to the Mandalore surface to search for the Forge. Spy is just another word for Scout. In base building games where you can attack other bases for resources, the game will usually let you scout the base before you attack. And the action or unit used to do that is usually called a spy. We only get confused with that word spy because we think of it in modern vernacular where it's a sneaky espionage type of person who may or may not be a double agent. Or think of if like a CIA Spy. They are just scouting or surveiling the intended target for future operations by a bigger force. Oh, I forgot, the 12 Mandalorian strong team also refers back to the 12 spies sent my Moses to scout the Canaan region for a place to settle.

I’m surprised how many people are disappointed by this season because as a Star Wars fan I loved it!! So much great story telling and action. I thought it was obvious “the spies” referred to the group sent to “spy out” mandalore In that episode. Also I love the choice to destroy the dark saber, because from a. Storytelling perspective it gives Grogu the opportunity to be the new Tarre Visla and create his own mando/Jedi saber someday
@LeutnantJoker
@LeutnantJoker Жыл бұрын
It seemed like the saber was more in the way of Mandalore instead of helping it. They focused more on who wielded in than about what Din mentioned: Honor and integrity. That's how they ended up with Maul as a leader after all. With that line broken, there can now be a change of mandalorian leadership. I just wish they had spent more of the season exploring that idea.

I think the Spies title sent some people on some theory rabbit trails, but the actual explanation with the Moses story makes a lot of sense. The events in that episode are very similar to what happens in the bible story, with Bo or the Armorer in the Moses role, sending/venturing with scouts/spies from different tribes to evaluate land they want to live on. It had a double meaning too with Kane being a literal spy. I know it's frustrating when theories create expectations, and I was caught up in that too for a while, but I've learned over the years to put expectations aside. I know it's easier said than done. It's harder when you love a franchise too. I'm glad you guys still had fun with it.

@@mr.greasy6483 Amen. I'm calling this 'Return of the Mandalorians,' just to stress how it's their RotJ but appropriately plural, both in terms of their teamwork but also their diversity, some more contemporary Mandos on Mandalore alongside some more rigorous ones, but also one Mando used to being a little more on his own, who has his Mandalorian homeworld back but prefers to take up residence at his more personal home on Nevarro. The whole arc from Ch. 1 to 24 saw the lone, callous bounty hunter growing to first 'make a connection' to eventually 'settling down,' catching up all of Mandalore and its restoration in his wake along the way, a true homecoming for all Mandalorians but now on a completely new footing. I couldn't be happier. (Well, I do hope they bring Boba back in and let him 'Boba' a little more, if in behalf of his newfound purpose, just so that everyone who was dissatisfied with BoBF is back on-board and those eps. focusing on Boba in hindsight look like nothing more than his finding a new purpose in life rather than what to some looked like a total abandonment of who they thought Boba was. I’m confused on every reactors insistence that “the spies” were somehow some huge plot line of the last episode. It was literally resolved in the first minutes of the episode and every conspiracy ran down the rabbit hole that never existed. People saw the title and ran crazy with it. But in terms of the show it never made any sense that there was more spies among them. Certainly not Axe Woves or the Armorer. There is a real possibility that it could down the line imply some double cross action in the sense that some of gideons people and maybe some mandos were working for Thrawn. And Thrawn most likely was very aware of what Gideon was doing behind closed doors with the clones and trying to usurp Thrawns position. After reading all 12 or however many Thrawn books I wouldn’t put it past it for us to find out he was the one who orchestrated the confrontation into happening by pulling strings

Such a great finale, I really liked it. The scene where Din was telling R5 to get the shields down and then basically beat the crap out of those guys, that was so badass. Now he's actually adopted Grogu and can call him his son that is so friggin adorable, like finally 🥺❤️

We all think to much into the episode titles “the spies” literally could have just referred to the fact that the episode started with one of gideons spies telling him about the mandalorians coming together, like think about it were all saying “whos the spy” but the episode literally started with a known spy

Gideon being a Super Commando / Final Form Dark Trooper combo was a great thing. I'm really glad Din Djarin is on the hunt for the remnants. Everybody in that holo-meeting with Gideon is likely to get a visit from him. I think this season was overall underwhelming but I loved the action stuff and expanding the Mando lore even more. The Armorer is my favorite character and I'm glad people were so wrong about her being a spy.

The term spy refers to a person who secretly keeps watch on others. The title of episode 7 "The Spies" was most likely referring to Elias Kane and Mod Gideon, and perhaps the Dark Council.

I never had any conflict with taking Elia and the shadow council to be the spies. I never doubted the Armourer or Bo because The Mandalorion is literally a new hope. The people need something worth belonging to and fighting for. Dave and John honour the DNA of Star Wars by keeping that honesty and hope intact for the hopeful kid in me. Thanks.👍

They probably knew everyone would go crazy trying to figure out who the spies were. They showed Gideon talking to his spy, then went to the shadow council where they proceeded to talk about all of their supporters (spies) throughout the galaxy. I think the storyline was totally fine. I love Star Wars, and I'm happy that we get the content that we get. I just hope some of the content doesn't get canceled because of negative talk and critics.

Two things. 1) I think the other spy was that creature on Navarro (season 2) that helped fix Mando's ship after he left Trask. The mechanic put a tracker on the Razorcrest and then notified Elia Kane (or whatever her name is) that the tracker was in place and Mando still had Grogu. The mechanic probably saw all the Mandalorians on Navarro and contacted Kane. 2) Does anyone else get the feeling that Moff Gideon was planning on taking over the Galaxy himself and making himself Emperor? He clearly kept his clones a secret from the shadow council and he doesn't seem to be the type to share cloning knowledge with those trying to help the Emperor. Thoughts?

Spies had a double meaning. They were also talking about the biblical use of the word, where Moses and a party of 12 went on a recon mission to the promised land. They’ve been doing it all season. Juxtaposing mandalo rains and Christian dogma.

I’d say my expectations were met for this season in a good and bad way. I knew there was no way they’d top the first two and they didn’t. This was a very safe, straightforward, family friendly season. Didn’t offend me, didn’t impress me. What worries me now is the rest of the shows, because Skeleton Crew and the acolytes look insanely bad.

IMHO "the Spies" isn't about a covert enemy presence, but a reference to Numbers 13 from the Holy Bible. Moses sent a group of people comprised of men from all Twelve Tribes to explore Canaan to see if the land is habitable. I feel like this version of Spies (ep 7) is representative of the first real act of reunification among Mandalorian nation, gone to explore Mandalore to determine its habitability. Pretty slick title (IF I'm accurate on this). Anyone else notice the hydraulic noises Gideon's armor was making? He had that sucker super augmented! Finally, the little black circle "bloop" closure seemed give a "Disney-esque" finality to the Din Djarin/Grogu origin story. I personally envision Season 4 with some time passing and Din Grogu having matured a good bit.

I have a feeling that Moff Gideon isn't dead...wasn't his armor made of Beskar too? Even if the Beskar armor is damaged, I highly doubt he's gone. He's a really badass villain and I'm sure that he has some sort of contingency plan just in case things went bad for him and "his Mandalorians" on Mandalore... I mean he retrofitted his guard with "Mandalorian" Beskar armor too...I'm sure they weren't the only ones he had. Plus, remember that council meeting he had at the beginning of "The Spies" episode, there's a much bigger plan at work here, one that has yet to be revealed to the rest of us. And as far as Din and Grogu are concerned, the fight is over but, I have a feeling that in season four, Grogu will have a major advancement in his ability to wield the force. However, I also feel that that advancement may come at great cost to both Din and Grogu alike.

Nikki nailed something I've been wondering about since the ride back to Bo's castle from Mandalor when Grogu very clearly attempted to echo "this is the way". Was Yoda's speech pattern inherent in their species or unique unto him? Is the reason Grogu is slow to clear speech because he's too young, or because he's trying to make himself speak in "reverse" to his nature? If he were to attempt "the way, this is" would the words be easier to get out? Luke told him that Yoda spoke "in riddles", but it's very possible that he wasn't speaking in riddles. It could just be the natural cadence of the species.

I honestly think season 2 ending was a bit overrated because Luke had no personal connection to this story and what we got was a CGI cameo fanservice stealing the spotlight (albeit in an otherwise well directed way) I can't even imagine how someone new to Star Wars felt while watching it Still, with that being said, it was some good stuff, and so is this despite playing it too safe
