The Mandalorian | Season 3 - FINAL TRAILER (4K) | Disney+

According to the logline for season three, “The Mandalorian will cross paths with old allies and make new enemies as he and Grogu continue their journey together.” Pedro Pascal returns as Din Djarin/The Mandalorian, who travels the galaxy with Grogu (AKA Baby Yoda). The cast also includes Katee Sackhoff, Weathers, Amy Sedaris, Emily Swallow and Giancarlo Esposito.
Conversation about the trailer centered on such themes at seeing Din Djarin and Grogu reunited, as well as seeing Grogu use the Force.
In addition to showcasing new footage, Disney revealed the directors of season three Monday, including series alum Rick Famuyiwa, Black Panther cinematographer Rachel Morrison, Minari filmmaker Lee Isaac Chung, Mandalorian actor Carl Weathers, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse‘s Peter Ramsey and returning Mando director Bryce Dallas Howard.
Favreau once again serves as showrunner, executive producing alongside Dave Filoni, Famuyiwa, Lucasfilm boss Kathleen Kennedy and Colin Wilson. Karen Gilchrist and Carrie Beck co-executive produce.
In March 2022, Back to the Future actor Christopher Lloyd was revealed to be a guest star for the season, though details about his character are being kept secret.
An official synopsis for season 3 reads, "The journeys of the Mandalorian through the Star Wars galaxy continue. Once a lone bounty hunter, Din Djarin has reunited with Grogu."
"Meanwhile, the New Republic struggles to lead the galaxy away from its dark history. The Mandalorian will cross paths with old allies and make new enemies as he and Grogu continue their journey together," the synopsis adds.

Andor is much better, yet still far from to be good. Mandalorian/Boba Fett/Obi Wan are all boring - bloated screen time with just 2-3 scenes per episode. They even managed to fit fillers. They should have shrink 3 seasons to 1, as there is nothing to show. But better would be merge Mandalorian, Boba Fett, Ashoka, Rangers into a single dynamic series with multiple arcs.

The show will end after 4 seasons. This has been confirmed. Other shows, including the Ashoka show, will happen with extreme care and continuity towards the characters and events of Mando--so don't be too sad because Mando is just the beginning. Who knows, we may even get Rangers of the New Republic again if Jon is smart and figures out how to get Gina Carano back.

I feel like Din Djarin would be the perfect one to unite the other tribes of Mandalorians. He already earned the Dark Saber in battle twice. Plus he has his "own" clan so there isnt any previous bad bloods. He wouldnt be in it for the glory or looking for a power grab but wanting to unite the people to a common cause.

The New Republic would never be the antagonists, they may get in the way with their attempts to enforce laws but for them to be antagonists when they are the good guys would require Din Djarin to be the bad guy, the Imperial Remnant will always be the main antagonists in the galaxy, with mercs, crime lords or rival Mandalorians potentially being an episode/season antagonist, it's a western in space.

This is what I am talking about. This is true redemption for all Star Wars fans. I never believed that this show would be more Star Wars than the original Star Wars. Simply excellent dramaturgy, knowledge of source material, deep lore, and all of this is permeated with nostalgic twists for old fans, but at the same time everything is presented in a modern way to attract a new generation of SW fans. @@MannyLectro Thanks for your opinion, but it's just your opinion. When it comes to SW, there is a certain line that draws a little bit of stylistics, beyond which all the charm disappears. This series is full of details completely unrelated to that style, where you have to force yourself to see SW. It made the whole thing difficult to watch, and it really struggled to move forward. We cannot deny that such a new approach is welcome, and even acceptable, but it is very far from the true spirit of SW, and this series should only be seen as a certain interpretation of the SW world, where things like AK-47 references exist.

I'm hoping for 10 seasons of magic with this show. This plus Andor, The Book Of Boba Fett, Bad Batch, Tales of the Jedi, ending The Clone Wars animated series like they did. They have been killing it. Imagine a live action Clone Wars show. With Jedi, Sith and actually good saber duals and fights like episodes 1-3 of the main movies.

I've been waiting some time to see where the obi-wan in clone trooper armor comes in.. I've seen some rather epic figurines being set up for pre-release around april this year, including ones with Obi-wan in a jedi/clone-style suit of armour with his light saber - I think we're either in for some new animation shorts or potential hints to further developments around prequel storylines :-)

I think she will be an antihero/ reluctant ally of Mando. She wants to save Mandalore - but she wants to do it her way. I think they will end up as allies but there will be a war between them first to prove who deserves to be the leader. They are Mandalorians - fighting is what they do. (aka like the Elder Wand from HP)....Technically, Sabine didn't get it from Maul legitimately, and thus Bo Katan had no right to it in the first place...and neither did Vizla/Gideon/Mando for that matter. Maul was always the legit owner until he was beaten actually using it in battle by Palpatine himself so Palps became the legit owner, even tho Palps never claimed it for his own use. How one determines the Rightful Owner at this point is up for conjecture.

I kinda hope Mando and Bo Katan clash with their ideologies. Mando has essentially grown up only knowing the Death Watch, all the way back when they first met they never quite saw eye to eye. Despite Mando removing his helmet, I think he still firmly believes in it and I hope that becomes a plot point that won't sway his character.

Except, while technically he was found by Death Watch, Din Djarin grew up as a Child of the Watch, a separate, if related, extremist group. But also less extreme in other ways. Bo Katan is the one who is Death Watch, and is completely against outsiders. Still, do hope and look forward to them clashing, Bo revealing herself as the villain again. Or at least be major antagonist

Ultimately she refered to Din as "Death Watch" and they even tried to attack him when he began speaking of the Creed, saying this is the way and wondering about them removing their helmets in the series. Back when they met on Mon Cal

I think the thing that makes her interesting is that she was clearly weighing up whether to fight Din for the sword immediately during the S2 climax. He has procession of the entire purpose of raiding that ship. I think both her and the Armourer are ultimately going to be obstacles to overcome at some point, Bo-Katan being the one who basically got her sister killed and has been paying for it every day since, and the armourer is a die hard extremist

To me Din is amazing because not only does he learn of the Children of the Watchs interpretation of the Mando’a but he also learned from Boba Fett in Book of Boba Fett other interpretations of the Mando’a that superceded and preceded the Children of the Watchs interpretation. Din Through Boba Fett learned of the True Mandalorians interpretation and I feel he is awesome because he can united different Mandalorians together. Hope we will see a cameo of Boba Fett in this Season 3
