James Gunn probably isn't making a traditional “copy and paste” Batman movie, as older generations have come to know it that's why Pattinson's version can continue. The idea and understanding of Batman or in this case Robin, is probably going to be drastically different in the DCU, which is frankly what it has needed for a long time. To paraphrase Michael Vogel; I'm tired of villains and heroes who you can meet at your local coffee shop. ***Reeves’ version is different - which is what we wanted - but not quite the version we needed*** He's part of this wave of directors (Todd Phillips!) who have realised they can only make their movies, if they cosplay them as “superhero” adjacent because they're not always rewatchable. The DCU will be for anyone under 40 (more rewatchable - 4 quadrant - e.g. like Bumblebee+Transformers One for transformers IP) - and the rest (“elseworlds”) including Reeves’ spin offs, will likely be for anyone over 40 or a hybrid, (no capes, no trainers , no jeans if you want to be considered for awards). Sorry about your C19 but I appreciate the show as always. 🎯👍🏾

Wouldn't the mando "trilogy" include the filoni movie they already announced, they are all mandoverse... stuff. Also not seen joker 2 yet, fully intend to give it the clean-slate full objectivity try (for context, i thought Joker 1 was just fine, not bad certainly but not great), but it will be funny if my favourite joker movie of the year ends up being The People's Joker. EDIT: I'll be honest i don't really feel like S3 of mando was really much different than 1 & 2 am I alone in that? Sure it has that one jack black episode but is that the only reason? It was basically the same thing otherwise lol. Also isn't this bane & deathstroke thing what people complain about sony doing..?

I loved spiderverse, but I honestly feel this movie has a better shot at making best picture nomination. I think Best Animated is a lock at this point considering the rave reviews, audience reviews and slow but promising box office success.

Phillips, phoenix , Gaga and some of the crew made out like bandits with WB giving them $200+ million . so, I guess, congrats to them. I didn't gate the film (I'd rate it 4.5/10) but it truly has nothing but disdain for its characters and its audience. It very much resembles Hannibal in terms of a sequel (but it isn't even as good as that film ) . so much wasted potential. Phoenix will be able to support overpriced soy protein meals for his entire family for multiple generations so good for him.

I walked out of Joker: Folie à Deux only a half hour in. First time ever walking out of a movie. Poor marketing. Full refund. Bummed.
