That round two, when you drop Thalia and a second Wasteland against a mana-screwed opponent? Those are the moments D&T exists for. The ones you savor.

In Round 1 Game 1, couldn’t you have flickerwisped the Murktide to remove the counters and make the two trade if they attacked? That would also slow down your clock if the opponent top decked a bolt and they started attacking in. 11:30 into the video

11:40 why didn’t you flicker murktide? This plays around potential removal spells. Murktide gets flickered and comes back as a 3/3, which trades with flickerwisp and straight up dies to pro blue from mom, which prevents an attack and does not require you to use mom

As an old school astral slide player, it hurt to see you do sorcery speed mangara! In G1M1 you could have been blocking the Swiftspear, then activating and hitting the DRC and Karakas. took like 3 damage you didn't need to =P
@dkv_11 ай бұрын
I’d argue he is in enough of a winning position that it’s fine to do this. Giving an OPP a draw has a few downside cases. Top decking brazen borrower would let OP save his DRC Top decking bolt would kill mangara In response to karakas bounce trigger Top decking stifle would allow opp to stifle the mangara trigger. Not likely opp has stifle M1G1 tho. There are probably a few more reasons why doing it before opp can draw is better than saving a block. It just depends on how secure you feel taking a few points of poke vs risking losing your mandara or tempo.
@ThrabenUniversity11 ай бұрын
Your line is just worse than my line though, as it gives the opponent more opportunities to find interaction to stop my lock. It's not about the damage. It's about a grind of resources.
@ShadowOfNocturne11 ай бұрын
@@dkv_I can understand your view, however for the sake of argument. Brazen borrower would not save DRC in this situation. Petty theft can only hit opponents cards. Stifle is a genuine concern, but that information wasn’t present g1m1 and isn’t a common addition currently.
@ShadowOfNocturne11 ай бұрын
@@ThrabenUniversityunsure about “just worse”. That’s a rather strong statement to make to a friendly comment from a fan man. I understand about the resource grind. But having to wait additional turn cycles for activations is arguably a less effective tempo play vs the risk of removal. Plus it opens you to daze at certain points in the transaction.
