My mom and dad met at a USO dance; he was temporary in her hometown for Air Force pilot training. Many years later when kids and dad‘s time in the military change the dynamic of their relationship, this is one of the few songs I ever remember them dancing to in our time in Germany in the 1950s. Great song, great singer, timeless in fact. 👍💙💙 great cover.

They played this song in the British comedy Are You Being Served. They had an excellent cast on that show. It had me in stitches. It is a good song.

I often wondered just what Art & Dotty Todd thought of TMT's version. Their '58 hit was a monster on AM radio of the late 50's. -------------------------MJL, 76 y/o

Though actually there are only two French phrases in it (the title [love song] and je t'adore [I adore you]); the rest is in English!

Sounds exactly like Edith Piaf version. Even the saxophone solo. Great song.

I don't think Edith ever actually sang this (it's mostly in English). The only clip I've heard on here that claims to be EP is actually TMT anyway.

There was a joke about this song in several countries. Somewhere in France in a front yard on a beautiful sunny day early in the morning an earthworm crawled out of the hole. In a good mood, he stretched, took a deep breath of fresh air and sang: "Chaaaaansooon d'amouuuur".. Suddenly a lawn mower came towards him: "Ratatatata...
