I was so hoping for a huge, massive, long chase & fight scene with Michael vs. Laurie, Lindsey and Allyson at the end throughout the whole house and the abandoned house next door with all three women surviving. If they had just made that a subplot and focused more on Laurie, it would have been better

That way Laurie would have been Michaels sister and she would have witnessed way more carnage so she would have way more reason to live like she did the past 40 years. Also, Why isnt anyone talking about the fact Corey's hand wound and Michael himself heals with every kill? His girlfriend even looks kinda shocked at the wound, when they're on the radio station roof. I feel like Michael needed Corey to kill in his name so he could get stronger with each kill and eventually get out of the sewers to finish killing Laurie. Clearly corey will be the next shape since he got the "resurrection possible" ending like michael used to get. Also he conveniently stabs himself in the neck so his vocal cords are destroyes and he will be a silent killer like michael. Also a way to put any actor in the mask in the future. BTW Corey has the new mask already picked out. So IMO it is an End for Michael but not for the franchise.

Super weird that Laurie's gone from living in fear and isolation to enjoying her life like the boogeyman is gone for good even though he isn't Because in Halloween Kills Laurie was told Michael's not going after her specifically He never was and never will he just kills anything that moves because he can He has no motivation besides just standing looking out his dead sister's window And after hearing that Laurie's like "YEAH B***CH!!! I'M FREE MICHAEL'S NOT COMING AFTER ME AFTER ALL SURE HE KILLED MY DAUGHTER AND IS STILL LURKING OUT THERE BUT WHO CARES I'M FREE I AM FREE SCREW ALL THOSE PEOPLE WHO LAUGHED AT ME FOR BEING PREPARED NOW THEY'RE THE ONE'S LIVING IN PARANOIA NOT ME!"

@@pyromaniac709 The entire sequence of Michael being paraded through town and ground up was filmed during reshoots against the wishes of the director. @Neckromorph2 жыл бұрын
That's "after the fact" talk though. If they had chosen another mask in the original '78 movie, we'd all think it was iconic too. We can easily sit here with our 2022 foresight and think, "Damn, that mask is such a huge part of Michael Myers and the Halloween series", because it's had 40+ years to settle and be established in our minds. I do agree that Michael's mask is awesome and a HUGE part of what makes Halloween iconic, but there's plenty of other pieces that make Halloween what it is today.

@@Neckromorph Respectully disagree. As well made as the 1st movie is there's not a whole lot there. It's a very simple plot. I think the haunting perfect image of the killer is what makes the movie pop and makes it so eternally intriguing. They almost went with a hobo clown mask. In an alternate universe where that happened I don't think Spirit Halloween would have a wall of hobo clowns. Its not as sleek, sexy & scary. There might not even be a Spirit since Halloween '78 sparked a whole snowballing subgenre in its wake.

I really think everyone is wrong on this one. Halloween has been derivative and cliched for ages. They really tired something interesting, and different, and I loved it. The themes and symbolism in this film was fantastic. The exploration of internal v external evil, it’s source through nature v nurture. Was it a perfect film? No not at all; the film was super messy - but it’s far from bad. The thing I really find disappointing, is any time someone takes risk in the horror genre it gets shit on. You only have to look at Carpenters career. His films (outside Halloween) were a flop - yet now he’s considered a master of his craft. The problem is; studios pay attention, and when they see everyone pile on something to a risk - they take note, and next time won’t take that risk. That’s why after Halloween three we got an endless barrage of absolute garbage.

just saying, FYI your timeline is wrong..... ppl just refuse to realize that Myers died in the end of the 2nd movie and every subsequent film that's come after are either shallow continuations complete remakes or bs reboots... honestly idek why you included 6 since that movie never happened so it doesn't count, the franchise of Halloween has really just been in 2 or 3 movie intervals... and the real truth is once you start paying attention most the reboots dn't count the original 2nd movie like you do in your timeline.. it has always just been the original 78 movie then the new movie...

I really liked the movie outside of a lot of problems I had in the last 20 or so minutes. I think a lot of the disappointment people have with this movie is that the expectation (and misleading ads) was more Laurie vs Michael, and the fact that it was the end of a trilogy. They should've brought Corey in one of the earlier movies and he also should have escaped imo for sequel bait.
@JaxenRossisback2 жыл бұрын
That could’ve worked, but I would’ve placed a little bit more emphasis of the film on Michael - even if it’s not really much of a Michael Myers story.
