Listening to Michael analyzing his dad's character is fascinating, it's beautiful to watch someone being emotionally intelligent enough to seperate a character from the man he loved most, and I feel like his performance was brilliant because of that. He didn't play his dad, he played a character he fell in love with while already loving the person portraying that character so deeply. It's a rare and incredibly moving combination, it's just lovely to watch.

I just saw the film. While I liked this film more than others (I enjoyed it), the film felt incomplete (it felt like they chopped off the final hour of the film. The film is 2 hours long, but it felt like it needed to be at least 3 hours to complete it's story). They should either turn this into a TV show (or at least a mini-series) or release a new film every 4 to 6 months on HBO Max. Overall, it's a good movie... but it needed more to feel more "complete".

1) Michael G. seems so sweet and thoughtful. Not sure he so much looks like his father as he EVOKES him, even in real life. 2) Not sure I agree with David Chase that what we see in this bunch is "American attitudes." It's really a certain kind of northern NJ Italian diaspora attitude. It pervades the entire culture of NJ north of I-78, whether you're Italian or not. And no, all "Jersey Italians" are NOT gangsters. 3) This is an unusually intelligent discussion for actors promoting a movie.
