Not quite true. He was seen by a specialist who looked down his throat and said that his vocal cords were very thick and strong. The doctor said that his vocal cords could rival opera singer Enrico Caruso. Blanc was very much alive at the time they found this out.

Doing that yell was one of the things that strained Mel Blanc's vocal cords. (So did doing the voices of Yosemite Sam and the Tasmanian Devil.) I seen a library 📀 DVD the life of Mel Blanc I didn't know that Mel Blanc was almost killed in an auto accident. Doctors and nurses didn't know at the time who was this unknown patient who had no ID on him. He was almost in a coma but can communicate with them by 💬 speech. Until one medical professional said that he's the one and only Mel Blanc. They would say to him Bugs Bunny and he replied Hey what's up Doc. Porky pig he replied stuttering That's all folks and other cartoon voices. He was gifted to have many types of voices you don't see that anymore. 💔😊😀☺😁😂😃😄

Mel, you gave us a world of laughter with all your voices like Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Barney Rubble, Sylvester, Yosemite Sam, Pepe Le Pew, Foghorn Loghorn, Porky Pig, Tweety, Secret Squirrel, Woody Woodpecker, And more of your voices. I also love voice actors like Daws Butler, Don Messick, Casey Kasem, Alan Reed, Frank Welker, Henry Corden, Doug Young, and June Foray. Rest In Peace to the " Man with a 1,000 voices", Mel Blanc (1908 - 1989). We will never forget you, you will always be in our minds and our hearts. Even to William Hanna, Joseph Barbera, Chuck Jones, Bob Clampett, Robert McKimson, Tex Avery, Friz Freleng, Walter Lantz, Walt Disney, Fred Quimby, Leon Schlesinger, Ben Hardaway, and Ub Iwerks.
