WOW this guy was depressing. Can you IMAGINE having to sit next to THIS doomcloud on the train or in the barracks? He must've been a JOY to be around. He didn't just see the glass as being half empty, he saw it as being half empty, cracked, dirty, and half full of poison. Yoiks.

Are these the words of an actual German soldier or just someone trying to make money on KZbin? I have to assume the latter till I see some evidence for the former, e.g., the name of the German soldier or the title of the book the words are from.

This isn’t a war memoir it’s the verbose philosophical ramblings of someone who I suspect never even held a rifle or saw Russia. Thanks, but not for me.
