I found Larkin Poe on Facebook and fell in love instantly. Their covers are haunting. I finally saw them in Charlotte last month and it was one of my favorite shows ever. I’ve been to hundreds of concerts and these girls were one of only three that brought me to tears. They are the real deal. Love them so much!! 🖤

These girls are my favorite band. I first saw and heard them on Norm's Rare Guitars and fell in love. I signed up for a Joe Bonamassa Blues Cruise and my wife tells me those girls you like just signed on to our cruise. We saw them at almost every appearance and met them several times. They are sweet, genuine and have great fun on the stage while kicking ass and taking names. My wife and I have seen them on TV on Elvis Costello's special and have been hearing them on the Bluesville channel on XM radio. I am so happy for them and wish them all the best. Thanks, Mark for having them on and promoting them and good luck to you on your show.

3 months in I have to say this will only get better( hard to imagine). There musicianship and naturalness are infectious. Respectfully, a few songs I’m not crazy about only because of who they are covering. It’s a true testament to their overall approach that they reach so many demographics of music lovers. Larken Poe is a daily event for me.

This is a great interview, Mark. I've seen a lot of interviews with Larkin Poe, but this one is arguably the most interesting one. I really like the way you went deep on how they make music and what inspires them. The two ladies have a deep feeling for music and especially the blues. They approach music with a great deal of intelligence. I consider them to be blues sisters. I saw them perform at the Monterey Jazz Festival back in Sept of this year. They were great. For those of you who don't know, Venom & Faith has been nominated for a Grammy. The Grammy's can be a bit hokie, but lets hope that the Larkin Poe wins. They really deserve it!

You've got my blessing Mr. Pow. Here is one of my observations: "Two girls sitting right next to each other on the bus are giggling, both in same time. I could not resist not to ask: "What's so funny and why are you both laughing about it in same time ?" Well... The answer almost knocked me out of my seat. One of the girls (the one whose English seemed to be a notch better than the other one) answered: We're talking to each other and passing some latest jokes Lol... Well..., needless to say... I was dumbstruck... Talking to each other via cellphone while sharing the seat... Give me a brake... I must be very old fart or... can somebody tell me what the fuck is wrong with me or, perhaps with those two girls (???)

@FULL MOON I live in the Rocky Mountains, and the majority of kids in high school (at least in my one horse town) have never been camping, hunting or fishing,,,,now that may not be everybody’s thing, but growing up here without giving it a try is tragic. They spend their days on phones, tablets and playing video games. When I was a kid I was never indoors. I think moderation is the key, but I think @Wesley alan is correct about the dependency.

Dear Mark. Message to you from the Antipodes. Until now unaware of the band "Larkin Poe". So happy to be now. Would you kindly mention to Miss Lovell (Megan) that ,from here, any person who can: 1. Get your hands on Bakelite RIC 2. Modded for shoulder carry in rock band 3. Sing like that and play (not slide) LAP STEEL in a rockin blues band 4. Talk like she damn got, like, a brain and stuff ....is as welcome as the flowers in May should the sisters choose to show we of the Southern side of the Equator what all that is about. Mate. really well done. Keep it like that.

Wow, the circle. Sailor with Spanish guitar ends up in Hawaii in the 1860s. The native islanders play with the instrument but their music is polyphonic. They adapt by putting the guitar on their lap and playing it with a slide. A generation later some of them get discovered, and tour the US, including every river town venue between New Orleans and Memphis. Black guitarists see and hear, and they're used to playing Spanish style, so they adapt, playing slide Spanish style. So this musician is into slide, but she decides to do it with a lap style, and we think that's strange. www.johnwtroutman.com/uploads/1/7/3/9/17394191/19.1.troutman.final.pdf

I must agree with you on this video, but I think this goes much further with mounting a phone to your guitar and it's that people can't do a damn thing without their cell phone up their ass at all times. People are obsessed with looking at their phone all the time. Put down your phone and wail on your guitar people! You can look at your phone later like during your child's wedding or a loved ones funeral or maybe just maybe while taking a good old-fashioned crap. Mark, if you like this comment, show me some love, t-shirts and guitars make a great gift.
