This aligns with precisely what I began noticing about sedevacantism while I was one. Each group proclaims itself as having the fullness of the truth and anathematizes everyone else. It's ridiculous cult thinking. Now I'm reconciled with Rome, attending a diocesan NO Mass and couldn't be more at peace.

Too many Catholics are unaware that the Holy Spirit guides the Church . Every RC should know that God cannot deceive . Wolves in sheeps clothing refer to people who refuse this ,starting their own groups ,taking and accepting what suits them . Not everyone wants to obey a Priest ,prideful men arent subserviant . They want their own authority over people . Ive noticed this with many ex catholics turned Protestant . They expect women to kiss their boots in utter silence and obedience , and want to be the ones to teach other men . Meanwhile they themselves refuse any authority above them . Some cults its impossible to get out . Jim Jones ...Unfortunatly there will always be bad Priests ,there will always be cults as well . Stay with the Church , better be safe than sorry. God bless

My sister and I had a little bit of discussion about the practices of being a catholic. She’s claiming that she’s still a catholic but stopped going to church as it is a waste of her time, don’t believe in sacraments, do not believe that Catholic Church is real, that reading about saints doesn’t make her a better person. I told her I will pray for her as she has become a confused soul and that she is a lost sheep. Please pray with me for my sister.

This is such a relief to hear. I was caught up in a Protestant cult before I converted to the Catholic faith. I am so thankful to be free from false doctrine & am now having to relearn truth as I learnt alot of untruths & false doctrine at Hillsong. My Parish Priest told me the Catholic Church did not recognise my Baptism in a pentecostal church, as it is a sect, so I had to be re-Baptised to become a Catholic. But my Parish plays Hillsong music in the services for youth. (I don't think my Parish Priest would know they are songs from Hillsong Church as he does not select the music). I find it confusing & hypocritical- if the Catholic Church don't recognise Hillsong - then why can their music find it's way into my local Parish (& others I have been to)? I actually have PTSD from what I experienced at Hillsong. Becoming Catholic has healed me & restored my faith (& it's ongoing).
@sharonthompson80612 жыл бұрын
I often tell my husband (Catholic from birth) that the music played is Protestant! I’m a convert (2015!) and am now aged 68. Better late than never! 👍🙏🏻✝️❤️
@michaelhaywood82622 жыл бұрын
I have never heard of Hillsong. I prefer traditional Catholic hymns etc, but also some modern ones such as those by James Quinn. Musicians and singers need to realise that they are there to lead worship and are not there to entertain. I particularly dislike Taize music.

With respect Fr. It seems Charity DOES need to be explained to most Catholics. There is an illusion that it just means "being nice".
@fr.terrancechartier6013 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the observation, Jeff, but most of the people who listen to our channel & attend our Masses know that charity is more than just being nice. At the parish level, it certainly needs to be made clear what charity is and what it isn't. God bless you!

I have seen Catholics very uncharitable by condemning other Catholics who attend NO. It is true some NO have lost their focus and appear to be in the entertainment business, however some are very focussed on ensuring respect and reverence is given to Our Lord and it is foremost in their Mass) I attend both due to travel, day and time. 🙏🏻🙏🏻✝️

Another superb homily from Fr Terrance and not too long at all. Without sounding too self indulgent I could listen to Fr Terrance all day long and there are not many clerics I would say that about. He highlights in a very positive way what often causes great sadness and grievance to the People of God. The terrible fact that Satan clouds himself in light and moves like a lion amongst the Church faithful waiting to attack. Yet rarely does Satan attack in full horror and despite the modern trend for horror movies, stories and the like that pepper the internet his usual advance is hidden behind a smile with charm or a kiss on the cheek. Sadly perhaps nearly all have seen a loved one bedazzled by the brilliance of a cult that can trip up unsuspecting souls. Such quick and happy answers are often presented to us at our most critical moment or when the certainties of a faithful Church seem uncaring. Sadly the Church in what it has sometimes done historically or has failed to do can make it appear tarnished and dull before the easy answers provided by cults that thrive in form without true substance. How often do we encounter the professed creed of being spiritual rather than religious? Yet without structure this flimsy ideal has no depth and may be blown away in a simple wind resulting in naked despair. Hence the Church uses foundations of Traditional Faith, tested by the depth of Scripture to give sure footing to a fluid world of ideas and trends that are as elusive as fashion. Nonetheless, cults provide easy answers to complicated theological, social and emotional questions that continue to cause harm to the Church. Fr Terrance rightly points out that some come from inside the Church such as the SSPX that deny Obedience yet damn the loyalty owed to the Pope, Magisterium or Church Councils. These mischief makers are especially wicked because they live in open Mortal sin and yet claim traditional loyalty. Like the Pharisees in Holy writ they remain condemned by Scripture for the harm they have caused in this life. Indeed woe unto these false idylls, mirages of grace, sinful cruelties. We must however retain Hope and in the Faith hold true to that which has been given unto us. Obedience and Loyalty to the Teaching of Mother Church and repudiation of the many quick fixes that plague our world as they always have.

I was approached by a woman distributing JW literature this morning. The JWs seem to be cultish in some respects. Needless to say I declined to take it. i just told them that I was a Catholic [in fact I was on my way to Mass, although I didn't tell her that. The JWs also seem to be a revival of the Arian heresy.

That NEO CATECHULMEN group who follows two lay people KIKI AND CARMEN and believe to sit at communion, oddball practices and dividing the holy Catholic Church. They also go door to door. This bothers me because all these modernization and Pentecostal movements are being allowed in. Why doesn’t the archbishops ever say anything?
@beverlysteele87543 жыл бұрын
Exactly. My situation was with a Pentecostal church.. Two, in two different States and turned out "connected". One, an older man leading a much younger newer man in the other State.
@G-MIP3 жыл бұрын
There are many lay people who are canonized saints. Neo Catechumen Way is in union with the Catholic Church. Catholic Charismatic movements are in union with the Catholic Church. Sedavacantist movements are not. The Catholic Church is a big house with many rooms. That’s why there is hundreds of different religious orders, charisms and movements. Your comment expresses pride, disobedience and lacks charity. I would seriously do an examine of conscience and get on an obedient and humble program- before it’s too late. Peace.
