Zoologist here. That's so cool. So that's why Turtles and tortoises are called Chelonians. They fall under the order that used to be called Chelonia. It's Testudines, now. Great story. Hermes is one of my favorites in the Greek mythos.

Hera’s bitter attacks towards Zeus’ lovers and their offsprings seem more understandable when you take into account that she was sexually assaulted by him and forced to swear an oath upon the river Styx to never again try to overthrow his rule. This is the reason Oceanus protected her as her foster father when she was growing up.

that's not the reason. The reason is she is goddess of mariage and it's her duty/job to punish thoses who violate it. She can't punish Zeus directly so she punish him indirectly through his mistresses and bastards.

In my greek mythology project (world) chelone became the ravenous monstrous turtle from the Sciron stories, Sciron is a bandit from the 6 labours of Theseus, when you stopped to wash Sciron's dirty feet he would kick you from the cliffs and a giant UNNAMED turtle ate you, well in my project this is Chelone.

This myth breaks the entire storyline of Greek mythology. Because, if Hermes invited all to Hera and Zeus's wedding and also Hermes stole Apollo's cows after his birth, then Apollo must have attended Zeus's wedding too. What a lot of people do not understand is that all of these stories come from different local traditions in Greece. There is no unified Greek lore because the Greeks were not a unified people. They were many city-states with a common language, religion, and culture but with localized expressions of these things. The beauty of a Polytheistic religion is that many different traditions can exist in a culture with none of them being the "right" one. Each one is right for the people they are tailored to. The timeline seems inconsistent in these stories because there is no timeline. The myths were never meant to be synoptic in nature.

Plenty of mythology there that has yet to be covered....plenty of history as well....the videos that have been done lately, like the indra/perun/wild west, were dope....the shorts of the korean deities, like the tiger god, were dope too Id like to see more videos like that, myths and histories not covered alot, as opposed to re-hashed greek/norse myths that this channel has already covered 2-5 years ago.... that most ppl/history channels already know about.... some of these stories yall have covered more than twice..how many times are yall gonna keep covering these same stories???
