I missed them the one time they came to FL in ‘08 and was crushed when they broke up in 2012. I thought I’d never see my favorite band live. I was in this crowd checking off a HUGE bucket list item!

Same for me! I was a little bummed it was only 5 songs though! When it ended, I blinked and they were gone and I asked the guy next to me “is it over???”. I’ve been waiting since 2008 to see them though. So I feel that. I was wearing that key Cedric used to wear on his hip from 2007-2012.

I felt the same way. I thought for sure there would be an encore, but then there just wasn’t. There also wasn’t another band I can think of that went under a full hour at least; some bands were playing their last songs minutes before another band was going on at the other stage. Still, I got to see The Volta live and that was a life-long dream.

I am an old man from a generation long gone and only recently discovered this band and i think they are amazing. I saw led zeppelin and many of the great bands of the 70s, and this band is up there with those great bands. Totally original, i can hear their influences without copying any of them. Live for the music!

I know what it was like to see James Brown Live. I know what my Aunt saw back in the day. i’ll chime in. got there at doors, left for deftones after volta. this was the highlight of the festival for me (and i got cedric’s setlist!). i LOVED every minute, but a lot of people didn’t. guy in front of me hated it, but there was a woman behind me who had never heard em and loved it.

I played it for my buddy that went with us, in the camping area on the previous night. He didn't get into it much that night, but told me they blew him away the next day with this show. They gained another fan.

I can't post links because YT deletes those comments. The website is literally our username. We also make multi-cam videos of full shows. Your recording has a great audio track and great video. @Rebecca Faullin every band I recorded for 5 days, I did individual songs, but as a fan of Mars Volta for almost 20 years, I knew there was no stopping that beautiful recording and vibe, once they started the 1st song. I'm so happy I did and glad everyone has enjoyed it as much as we did. It was an amazing experience and the grandma crowd surfing at 29 minutes and 45 seconds made it even better😆😆😆

As someone who has never heard of The Mars Volta or has ever done drugs, smoked, or even been drunk. I was blown away. They are fantastic musicians and very original and everytime I tried to leave I kept having to turn around. I loved it!
