Cedric is such a good vocalist. He is constantly adjusting the volume of his voice to the distance between him and the mic so his voice seem to always be on the same volume.

They broke up when you were in your teens (they will revisit the project). Don't feel bad, I didn't really get into my favorite band faith no more until well after their breakup. Prog music is a is a developed taste. Check out Omar Rodriguez's "solo" albums. He has a few that feature Cedric on vocals and he uses alot of the revolving door musicians that the mars volta did. He has a huge discography on his own, something like 50 of 60 albums, puts out something like 3 a year. So while the mars volta might be retired, it still lives on

I started to work in a company in 2001 (the year TMV began) and every day I used to listen to the mars volta at the office. On february 2013, the company closed and the mars volta had broken up. Now I'm working in another company, but it's not the same without The Mars Volta around and waiting for new music. Thank God I watched them live once here in Mty.
