The Mars Volta are the only dudes that really vibe with nardwuar because they love and embrace the weirdos like him. That's their tribe and they speak that language. In the early days where Narduwar wasn't an established interviewer, the people that tried their hardest to seem normal rejected and bullied Nardwuar because they couldn't confront him being the manifestation of the thing which they suppress. Nowadays, the only reason most people don't give Nardwuar a hard time is because he is well respected within the industry, but if it weren't for that, they wouldn't be polite with Nardwuar.

yeah, its a shame. jim sounded great on the vocals in 2012 too. a new rolling stone article with omar seems to indicate that they arent on good terms, and it seems like omar and juan aldrete aren't on good terms either from what i can tell. i think ultimately cedric and omar are brothers and cedric wont do atdi without omar, and atdi cant play atdi shows without cedric as the frontman. its also such a shame they cant work it out since jeremy ward, jim's cousin, was so close with all of them
@xanderrose81147 жыл бұрын
aligboyakasha .... Yeah, the only people who ARE on good terms with Omar besides Cedric are ass kissers, star fuckers and glad handers because Omar is a rude, condescending, egotistical prick who isn't a fraction as interesting as his music is or he THINKS he is. Never forget how many people almost delimbed the piss monger streaker... so messed up.
@ytgytgy3 жыл бұрын
I only saw them once and it was a great show but something similar happened with people throwing their drinks on stage. Cedric stopped partway thru the show telling the audience to quit because it was damaging the equipment but it kept happening and the whole band walked off just short of an hour. Most people say & see these guys as egotistical dicks when it comes to interviews, but they only seem like it, cause they like to fuck around when stuck in boring MTV type interviews & asked shitty one deminsional lame qusetions, so out of boredom they act like jerks in hopes of cutting the interview short, I really have no idea just asumming what I would do in a shitty interview. Haha, I get it & had the pleasure of meeting with them a few times in 06 & 08 when trying to book Omar's side project with Flea & John from RHCP to play my venue the Pharoahs Den, R.I.P. We only got Adrian *Omar's bro* Omar & Ikey Owens for a show & it took 2 years to get them, but non the less it was an unforgettable performance & night.
