"ruse of metacarpi/ecto-mimed bison" I wonder what Cedric's everyday life was like ten years ago...

There is that little booklet thing that tells the story of Deloused in the Comatorium. I always assumed that it was written by Cedric because it's definitely his style of abstract description and advanced vocabulary. It reads as though it was written by someone on acid haha, but it's pretty cool. There is a link to the .PDF of the storybook in the "external links" section of the Deloused wikipedia page.

Noticed that too, he was still on top of playing but he didn't really talk or smile much until past halfway through. If Omar sees this, my condolences man! For what it's worth.

These recent videos are basically all with cedric talking about his lyrics.... I wanna see some shit from Dentoni talking some serious drums or something interesting about the recording process from omar etc.

The Mars Volta is Omar and Cedric. The rest of the musicians are their guests so, although Deantoni is one of my favorite new drummers and his style has become a huge influence on me, even after only hearing this one album he's on, it wouldn't make sense for anyone besides Omar or Cedric to talk about the music. I'd like to see more Omar though.

Is it true Omar's mom died recently? If so, I assume that's why he's not in the recent videos. It's not really our business, but I offer a big ol' virtual hug to Omar and his family. Omar, your music, process, and purpose are inspiring to me.

yea i don't think there has ever been any interviews about tmv with anyone of tmv group(who's not cedric n omar).their first 4 or so records its clearly stated that the volta is the relationship between omar and cedric, everyone else has been pretty much hired guns, which is somethin omar is changing now.have you ever seen an interview with juan ikey or a drummer alone talking straight volta shit?didnt think so. if you want to see a deantoni vid search for it,u wont find it in the volta category

I don't know... I didn't get to watch it all so I didn't see that. I don't really see why he would do the reunion if he didn't want to?

yea but he seemed to be gettin down and was much more enthusiastic when playin with le butcherettes the other day, beyond the friendship factor the atdi reunion seems to me that it makes omar feel like a prostitute... as soon as it was over he B lined it off stage, probably to take a cold shower.
