Yeah the Marshall Tucker Band rocks. Doug Grey lead singer playing tambourine in the video is alive and well, still touring. Sadly we lost Toy Caldwell ( lead guitar and vocals here) passed away as did his brother Tommy (bass player). More MTB"fire on the mountain","take the highway","24 hours at a time","searchin for a rainbow","this ol cowboy","heard it in a love song"are a few more classics by the Marshall Tucker Band ☮️

Welcome to when music was real music. No auto-tune, actual instruments, and nothing but pure raw talent. Need to try Grand Funk Railroad "Inside Looking Out" kzbin.info/www/bejne/hKnGgKuseth4lbs and "Heartbreaker" kzbin.info/www/bejne/aGLCqoWYbNaMhKc . Now that was music in it's purest form guys...

Gentlemen, this may be my favorite tune, and favorite performance of this tune, ever. Okay, it took two women to do that to me, but I can relate. Mr. Toy Caldwell on guitar and vocal. I saw these guys early on at a little club called the Palomino in North Hollywood, later at the Universal Amphitheater and so on. Epic, core tune on the soundtrack of my life. From the same album, taste "Take the Highway" and delight in Doug Gray's incredible vocals. The full story of MTB is epic and tragic. Few remain.

The guy singing and playing the Les Paul, is Toy Caldwell, the fella next to him playing the bass guitar is his younger brother Tommy. Both were Vietnam war heroes in the Marine Corps ! (Toy was shot up in Vietnam in '68 ) they both got out of Vietnam in '69 and started the Marshall Tucker band with high school friends. All three brothers (Tim) died at very young ages. 25, 30, & 45 so sad !
