Larry Parnes offered 60/40 in his favour and then realised 40% was too much for his boys so offered a wage. I believe Brian Epstien also tried to get the beatles to take a wage. You only ever here people complain that Tom Parker had a 50/50 Spilt with Elvis, yet he was his only act and worked hard to get big fees for himself and Elvis. As a Result Elvis was a Millionaire in 1957, less than 18 months after signing with Parker. Were talking 1957 money about 10 times that today. Larry Parnes made Millions, He had Tommy Steele, Billy Fury, Marty Wilde, Joe Brown and a few lesser acts on his books, all making records and performing
