Marvel and Coke teamed up to do collectible Marvel Comic Book characters on cans of Coke. I spent $500 on Coke to try and collect them all and... it didn't go well... Here's what happened and my thoughts on the situation...

I learned my lesson when buying a 24 pack with Age of Ultron and getting all Iron Mans. I could have sworn when I got Spider-Man cans as a kid in 2002 they put multiple different ones in each case but it's so hard to remember. If Coke thinks I'm gonna buy 800 cans to collect them they're probably wrong....

It's pretty simple explanation. They're massed produced. They're not going to stop the assembly line to change out the cans each time. These are from the first batch just like anything and everything else that is mass produced.

In Australia the packs are all varied like they're meant to be. I'm baffled they're allowed to get away with putting just 1 design through the whole box in US. Australia has better consumer laws so no shady unexpected stuff tends to happen.

I thought you could look on the boxes to see what character you can get I was wrong about that so best thing I can tell people to do is buy them when they're on sale and try and look inside to find different characters or gamble in hopes that the store you're buying from has different characters

I totally remember doing the Phantom Menace can collecting when I was like 14 and remember that all the cans were staggered across the whole time of the event. It took a long time to get all 24, I wish I still had them all but I'm sure my dad got rid of them when I was in college.

The easy and best thing to do before buying a pack is popping open the carry handle and looking into the box that way. This way you see the can you getting so you’re not blind buying and you’re not damaging the box in the case it’s a can you already have. I use to do all the time when buying collection can.
