Someone within the Marvelettes admitted that the Supremes had better harmonies. In terms of lead singers, the Marvelettes had two: Gladys Horton and Wanda Rogers. Gladys could've taken on Diana and held her own against Martha, but I don't think Wanda would've stood a chance against either. Competitiveness aside, Motown's Marvelettes, Supremes, Velvelettes and Martha & the Vandellas each gave us some amazing records.

@@channelskip While I agree that Wanda wouldn't have stood a chance against Martha Reeves vocally, the annual sing-offs Berry Gordy managed between the groups proved that she had vastly superior pipes and technique to Ross.

Can't compare to the velvelettes original. Maybe if Gladys was on kesds it would have been better but Wanda voice is too smooth for this
