I'm glad I'm not the only adult who considered the absurdity of the Flerken evacuation scene a highlight of this movie. My theatre wasn't very crowded but that scene was getting a sustained quiet chuckle out of me.

I really genuinely had a ton of fun with The Marvels, my audience was laughing out loud constantly, and I thought it was perfectly fine. I really enjoyed how communication was such a tool between the three protagonists, Captain Marvel taking the initiative to apologize to Kamala for her tone before there's even been real friction between them is a great example. It is interesting to me how it's clear that a female leaning audience very clearly appreciates and recognizes something like open and honest communication, but some critics reduce it to "girls and their feelings", which is so silly because proactive conflict solving through anticipating and recognizing our failures and fallout is...a good thing??? A smart thing? Something that should happen more in film! Love to hear some refreshing takes, I felt like this movie really scratched a lot of my itches I didn't even know I had!

I had a similar experience as Whitney. I think I was the only one in the theater that wasn't either a kid or with kids, and there was 2 groups near me I could kind of hear there convos. They were freaking out as quietly and respectful as they could manage. To them this movie was somehow Iron Man 1 and The Avengers all in 1. Their minds were blown when Kamala. . .let's just say "wears the black hat"

Oh shoot, I rambled so long I forgot my point. I had a blast, and loved the movie! I saw the same flaws everyone is complaining about, but had fun and didn't care. My friend who's a huge Captain Marvel fan, but broke went to an empty matinee. He kept saying it was a perfectly fine action flick, but you could hear the disappointment in it.

I LOVED the film, it’s just fun. I understand other reviewers as well. While I understand other reviews, I have my personal review. The Marvels is just fun, and looking through all the directors and actresses’s interviews, quotes, and the content given from the trailers, featurette, and the teaser. For me personally this movie delivered and was consistent with the content from those trailers, teasers etc. Iman Vellani is Kamala Khan (Miss Marvel) Kamala Khan (Ms Marvel) is Iman Vellani I had a blast, I watched this with my older brother, and he happily commented about how much times he heard me laughing through the film; especially during the first fight scene!! While it had a lot humour, we saw real emotions. We got to understand the reasoning for Monica’s feelings towards Captain Marvel (Carol Danver) when Monica had a serious tone of voice when she mentioned Captain Marvel in Wandavision. We got to see the guilt in Captain Marvel, we got to see an emotional side of Captain Marvel. We got to see Kamala Khan total fangirl over Captain Marvel then learning that heroes are human too!! While I understand other reviews, for me this movie is just fun!!

The movie was actually awesome on second watch . Sets up a lot . Nia’s love for the comics is sprinkled about . You have to listen to the dialogue and use a little brain power to draw some connections ..but there are connections to the annihilation wave and the Shi Ar Empire . Fury’s assistant is from the Shi Ar empire and that connects it to the end of the X Men animated series of the 90s

36:45 I want them to do a special presentation similar to the explanation of “Fury’s bad week” but this time a structured viewpoint of Wong jumping around for his “bad week” events to at least give the audience some semblance to a chronological link between their shows/movies. Honestly my opinion for they’re shows is, they’re fun but The biggest subplot across all of them was Wong being present as sorcerer supreme and that needs more attention

Really bummed I didn't get to see it opening weekend. I really wish i had because I love Imans portrayal of Kamala so much! Shes literally living so many comic book nerds dream, and she is so very aware of it in all the right ways. So yeah its really pissed me off that not enough marvel fans came out for it. I blame my current finical status and my location for why I wasn't able to, and I'm sure I'm not alone with that. I do wonder how many people had to make that choice, to save their money, just cause they had to. I'm just afraid too many didn't come out, for the wrong reasons. I am driving out(like an hour) to see it in a theater tonight and I can't wait! I really appreciate y'all showing it the love I believe it deserves, and for all the right reasons.

I loved the movie. The choreography of the teleportation fights was the sort of thing we don't get to see much of and I thought it was great. Iman Vellani seemed to be living the experiences that she was performing. I look forward to seeing what she does next. I also wonder if the new generation of actors having grown up with video cameras in their pockets will tend to seem more at home on camera. The original transition from stage to screen brought a lot of acting techniques and tropes. We may see some new approaches to the craft from Tic Tok generation.

WHAT IF it's as simple as the X-men universe Monica went to was the 90s X-Men cartoon but live-action? Beast is literally that, and we've already seen Xavier in the chair... what if this is why Wolverine is in his comic and specifically "cartoon" accurate uniform in Deadpool 3? Because he's from the 90s cartoon since they also don't want to touch Logan's death in his movie, this would explain why he's alive and also not ruin that continuity. (might also give the 90s reboot more ground to walk on for audiences to visit)

My "out of theater reaction" just yesterday was that this was a super fun, and super rewatchable movie. Wasn't the deepest story, maybe some flawed logic, but nothing that made me hate it. If this movie came out 5 years ago and there wasn't the hate by tools for Brie Larson, the story around this movie would be completely different. It felt more connected to the rest of MCU than anything else in years, and did more to give us a hint at the future than anything in a long azz time. The only thing I didn't like about this movie, was that Secret Invasion happened. My favorite part was Kamala trying to control her excitement and hide her smile, then shouting "It's happening!" Or something like that bc the type of kid she is, this is exactly the kind of way she'd have imagined getting drawn into the bigger hero universe, some crazy cosmic shenanigans.

Wasn’t a huge carol fan, but after the movie I’m hooked, loved Kamala and Monica since their shows. That’s coming from a 26 male married with kid. Very enjoyable movie
