In Carol's memory with Maria Rambeau during the blip, she says "It should have been you that day." I guess Maria was the one that flew with Mar-Vell and that's how she got her powers in the alternate universe we saw. Maybe she lost her daughter while she was still young and that's why she doesn't recognize Monica.

I laughed myself into tears when Carol and her husband had a singing conversation. What a great fun planet. And then the Memory scene with all the Flerkens. I really liked The Marvels. I loved Carol, Kamala, and Monica as a team. They were fun. I wasn't as impressed by the bad lady - I got her motivation and all that. I just don't think Zawe was very good as that character and i've liked her in other things. And the post credit scene was neat. I knew where they were going with it when they started talking multiversal travel and assumed the X Men were going to show up again....

I saw the movie yesterday. When I heard the voice on the mid-credit scene, my jaw literally dropped and I gasped. The movie is a fun, escapist romp, and you only need one or two bits of knowledge from the previous films and shows to grasp the entire movie. I liked Brie better in this movie than the first. I'm not sure if it was worth the $14 ticket price, but at a matinee price, try to see this movie in the cinema if you can. I left feeling better than when I went in.

@@sca13 Love is kinda more of an extraterrestrial entity though not at all affiliated with Earth, and if we're going to include Love, technically Phyla would match the ages better. Kid Loki technically is still stuck at the end of time, but with the TVA set in a new direction, I suppose Sylvie could rescue him (and others trapped at the end of time), and with his timeline likely already pruned, could maybe be dumped in the sacred timeline maybe dunno.

And wasn't really a fan of the movie. Herding cats didn't work for me. Thought the space station was there just to push that bit. Binary felt gimmicky. Following Clea (Dr. Strange 2) and Eros (with Pip the troll) (The Eternals) as all gimmicky characters that we will probably never see again. Beast did feel like they were connecting universes though.

Captain Marvel actually was an X-man for a time. She was one of the non-mutant members. There was never a rule that you had to be a mutant to join the team. Juggernaut has also been an X-Man several times, and Jubilee was on the team when she was no longer a mutant.

Thanks for your coverage I love watching Ryan and the dog do these break downs. I’m so excited for what is to come. I think Marvels was breath of fresh air as we got some team work again similar to Avengers. Not only did we get the 3 main Marvels, but we got Nick Furry and Valkyrie cameo! It was great way handle a plot with Kree race, tease a set of a new Avengers team, and most importantly a multiversal incursion with bringing X-men into 616 sacred timeline. I reacted the same as when I Professor X in DSMM as I did here with Kelsey Grammar’s Beast! Who is the same Beast from DOFP’s timeline. I do like that they are bringing other characters who aren’t mutants into X-men’s world. The Marvels had a lot carry, personally I felt it did a good job, certainly better than ant-man quantum mania or Thor Love and Thunder. Also the clip Marvel/Disney clip of “bring everyone!!” Had be rolling!!😂

That is a Beast variant which happens to be voiced by Kelsey Grammer. It is not the same beast from the fox films. His design is clearly different and made to look more like the comics / animated series. Plus he’s all cg and the fox one was done with practical make up. This universe is a variation of the xmen fox universe. Make sure you clarify that. Continuity matters.

I know people have been absolutely destroying this thing, but personally, I thought the film was fine. Obviously, this film has a ton of narrative issues, but there was enough of the film I think I got right where I found myself enjoying quite a bit of it, especially the Chemistry Between the main cast. 7/10, and again, I know people have been tearing the post-credit scenes to death, but I thought they were executed well as well.
