Thank you for these shows. I watch everyone. I can't watch what's on TV now. Makes me 😫 scream.

Glad to have some episodes with Rhoda in them. Those shows always seem funnier, livelier, and better written. Valerie Harper added so much depth to the MTM show. Somehow, when she got her own show, Rhoda became flat, and almost a caricature, instead of a character.

And Mary got a sour personality that got worse as time went on after Rhoda left. The last 2 seasons Mary isn't very likeable.

@@RepentfollowJesus Both comments spot-on. Rhoda's husband was a selfish, humorless jerk. She was really good with the paleontologist (?) she met when she went with Mary to Mary's ex-boyfriend's engagement party. He was cute and funny and really appreciated Rhoda. Joe was a bore. Rhoda, Brenda and Ida carried Rhoda's show. They should have focused on Rhoda's family and given her a funny, smart husband.

When Rhoda got married it dead ended the character. The pursuit of romance was one of main reasons for Rhoda's existence.

Rhoda is more believable and represents many. And delivers a line like no one else

Why is phyllis so boring. And annoying.

Cloris Leachman played that role well, I think they wanted three distinct personalities in those three women. It drove me crazy that Mary always let her control her. I think you can find bits of all three women in almost everyone, the control freak, the self sabotager and Mary, Suzy cream cheese. They all played their roles to a tee and exaggerated them so we could see it.

They needed a personality like that. Cloris Leachman was a wonderful actress in other shows. The movies too.

Ms.Leachman never played a truly funny character on Ms.Moore's tv series or even on "Phyliss"..Ms.Leachman was only funny, when she appeared in Mr.Mel Brooks' movies.
