The Masked Singer - The Astronaut Performances and Reveal 👨‍🚀

The third season of The Masked Singer premiered on February 2, 2020, as the Super Bowl LIV lead-out program.
During the season, eighteen celebrities will compete anonymously in new full-bodied costumes and masks. Before each performance, a video package will tease clues to their identity with the celebrity narrating aspects of their biography in a disguised voice. After each performs in their own voice, the panelists will attempt to guess who is the masked singer. The contestants are then voted on by the audience to see who is safe and continues, or who will compete in a further round of singing in that episode, and possibly elimination.

Hunter is a ballad singer, where is slower. He isn't accustomed to singing such a faster BPM so his voice isn't good for these songs, but it doesn't stop me from having all his albums. My hats off to him for trying this out. When I changed genres going from classic to another, it was stressful. I know how he feels doing this, you really have to learn a new breathing pattern and step out of your comfort zone

summer friesan I commented the same thing to someone else but I thought I would tell you too😂. I have been OBSESSED with astronaut ever since the first performance. I thought his voice was amazing and the first time he sounded so nervous it was sooooo cute🥺. But then after thousands of fans thinking it was him I started listening to more of his music and trying to get to know about him and all his songs. I obviously already knew about the iconic “Wanted” but I honestly feel guilty for not knowing about him before masked singer. I don’t want to be like other people and be a fake fan or only discover his talent from the show but I’m really trying to know what his albums and songs all are. But then because people said it was him made me want him to win even more. How could I not? He is honestly soooo cute🥵 and hot,he has an amazing voice,such a little sweet personality,and he seems like a lil music nerd and it’s the cutest thing ever! My mom like swears by frog and it’s honestly making me annoyed. Frog just sings songs that make the audience hyped up and he dances a lot so I think he isn’t the best singer out of all of them. Night angel is probably a singer but I just don’t like the way she sings if that makes sense. Rhino, I don’t want to hate on him because a lot of people do, but he’s only had like 2 good performances. Turtle idk I just think he’s okay... I’m just not a fan. I guess the only one I want to win now is kitty

melinda guidry lol my mom actually like swears by frog and it’s bothering me! He is a decent singer and is fun to have on stage but I think that’s the only thing helping him! He just picks “fun” songs and dances A LOT on stage. I loved the astronaut as soon as he first started singing his first performance. I thought it was sooo cute because he sounded scared but after hearing everyone was thinking it was Hunter I started listening to his music more and more and trying to get to know about him. Khiana Angelo Boy do I agree with so much you said. If you watch some interviews with Hunter he is nervous and it’s do cute. It’s so nice to see someone honestly talk instead of rehearsed speech. If you listen to some of his live music, his voice is shaky till he gets going. He has such a beautiful tone to his voice. Frog did drive me nuts too, it’s like every week it was the same and playing off the judges, I thought he was going to win without singing much. It’s like everyone I like never wins , I guess I pick the wrong person lol.

Im a bit surprised that he is a professional singer honestly... His first performance was not very good vocally- though that was probably down to either nerves or emotion, probably a mix of the two. His second performance was a nice surprise, made me believe he had atleast some experience performing although i was leaning more towards actor. You can definitely tell he isnt used to bouncing around a stage with choreography and hyping up an audience though- he seemed winded by the second half of the song a lot and personally his call outs to the audience seemed forced in a way if that makes sense. The shawn Mendes song seemed strange for him- didn't seem to quite fit his range for the lower section at the beginning quite well, but the rest of the song sounded good. I do feel like his tone would have been better suited to more country or indie songs and that probably would have helped him go further in the competition. I think his song selection was his main downfall and i am not sure if the singers choose themselves or not though. You can tell he does have a good voice, just not trained in the genres he performed through the show which is a pity. Apologies if i offend any fans of his or anything like that. Just some things i noticed personally. I am by no means a vocal coach or anyone with authority to critique but i just know personally having to sing in unfamiliar styles or settings can be difficult and nerve wracking.
