Still have mine from like 10 years ago. Used it as my primary phone for about 2 years. Loved this thing.

I had the 5800 when it was new. Basically the same but 5" screen, it was great for its day.

I wanted to buy one of these when they first came out, but I didn't have the money for it at the time. 😩

A Rockchip RK3188. Now that is going back in time. I'm surprised that the tablet has not fossilised by now.

Definitely not the original box, mine had a dedicated JXD box. The controls work really well, I stopped using mine because it was too difficult to update and the built-in emulation software (HappyChick) was horrible to use.

This handheld build is actually very good, launch in 2014 and its holding up great still with its durable housing. some current handheld housing are so easily crack like GPD XP/WIN. but the con side is its heavier compare to GPD Q9. i have mine now running android 5.1.1

I still have one, with proper original box (not like the one in this vid). Actually only got mine new a only few years back for very cheap, cause at the time they were way to expensive for me. These can have issues with the touch screen not working after a while, mine had that but I got it replaced last year and working fine now. Build quality is quite good, has weight to it but also fragile in that if you drop it even at lap height it all opens up and buttons fall out lol I have a custom rom image flashed on mine which is better which shows the rom as a galaxy S3 so you can still access and download things off playstore easier. You can install most emulators on it but even it has its limits so I dont use it anymore. Sound is decent from the front speakers and the screen is a very nice 7" but at 16:10 aspect and 720P. 1280x800 since its 16:10. Has a rockchip cpu so technically I think you could have linux distros like Batocera running off a micro sd card. However Im sure devs of those OS's are not going to waste their time making 7 one for a device thats over 9 years old and few people have.

I wanted this one, but the risk was smaller if I got a Chuwi clone I could find from local smugglers. Similar spec though, same chip. Pretty sure that back then the best n64 emulator was Megan64, maybe that would work better on your machine even today. Also, I think that was when I got the Drastic emulator. For me though, this generation tablet was a Pokemon beast.

Does anybody know about the relationship of this device with the Blaze Tab Pro? I once ebayed the latter for small money, it runs Android 4.4.4, has horrific controls, but also a flawless hdmi out, can be used with external controllers and emulates everything up to / including PSP, DC and N64 like a breeze. I can not find much information about the device, only that it was an early offer by the the British company which does Evercade today, and that it is somehow related to this JXD device here. I'd be really grateful for all information regarding the Blaze Tab consoles (there was another one before called the Blaze Tab, without the plus, which had a weaker chip. Both were sold for 99 £ from the beginning).

It was the Blaze Tab PLUS, not PRO, sorry.

Yeah i just watched this video just thinking. I have seen it before somewhere. But that was ages ago. More like a decade. But still problebly better emulation then some newer devices released. It got it's power limit. But for a device this old, not bad at all🙃🙃

I have one of these. It’s TERRIBLE!!! It’s SUPER slow, the interface is atrocious, and the Wi-Fi could only be used within about a 5-foot radius around my router!
@fonzitheman2 жыл бұрын
9 years ago they were great so you gotta take that into account. Now, yeah.. Ofcourse not so much ☺️
@allenfrisch2 жыл бұрын
@@fonzithemanFor me, even back then it just didn’t hold up. Maybe because I had an Nvidia Shield Portable which outclassed every other Android handheld system back then. I didn’t mention how short the battery life was in the JXD!
