It is an aweful version of Steed. You cannot do ANY abilties at all while on the Steed or it instantly dismounts you from it, losing the speed boost... 45sec cd! So if you get slowed or rooted during Steed you can'T even dispels it or freedom it off... super lame

Horn should just be a base ability and yes it got replaced by a better rune. Side note: I think Resto druids beat priests in terms of second best on ally side. Better Aoe heals and they never run out of mana. One priest is always good to have with for utility, but if you’re bringing 4 healers I’d go with two Resto druids for the Aoe and Brez.

Yeah I mean. We been saying this for ages on alliance side. Ferals were shaman totem for 3 phases. Paladins inferior to shamans in essentially every way. Tremor totem and poison cleanse were big last phase. In all ways horde has been far ahead of alliance. And now they add weapon skill runes to further diminish humans. Kind of ridiculous at this point. Do the Devs even think about this kind of shit or do they just plain not care?

And the real kicker the ability to absolutely invalidate a paladin with 1 button

The game has always been if you want to parse, play horde due to racials. It is true that for a select few classes, rogue/hunter the discrepancy is higher which sucks, but it isn't out of the realm of consideration to bring a boomy to the raid. Sure boomies aren't great and top end guilds will want to class stack optimal comps, but if you cant find room in a 20 man for a boomy which buffs all of your casters because you want to stack 10 absurd melee classes. It is classic, the idea that both factions will be perfectly balanced goes against the nature of the game. A boomy buff would be clutch, but I don't think this is a huge deal across the board. Real talk, dreamstate should have been a rogue buff not boomie however. Rogues were so down bad in p2 without having any raid utility, and atleast that way they would have had a reason to be brought to alliance comps.

For Sod lvl 60, this should have been one of the top priorities before any other change. On era, having mandatory picks on both sides was mutually agreed upon between the factions to be an annoyance when forming a raid or getting invited to raid/guild. Since sod is only playable for a limited time and without the ability to predict what changes they would add, it would be an overall positive change for everyone. More so than without it, it was easy to predict the current state in earlier phases. It would be less of an annoyance if we could know beforehand that a class/race be directly affected by a change that will/won't be added.

They don't have time to change the way stats in classic work, so this is a simple way to do it without sacrificing development time that could be used for other parts of the game. It would require them to put wep skill/hit on every new item for almost every gear slot. Since sod mainly focus on exploring new ways to play and adding new set bonuses on gear for classic, this change will make it easier and less of an annoyance when you get a new gear piece. Every item that doesn't have a hit/skill would be unusable without these runes. Likewise, creating new items without hit/skill would be pointless. It's more fun when you get a new upgrade/tier-set bonus, and it's an actual upgrade you can equip and not a loss of damage.

@@BasedFalcon Ranged hunters don't have to worry about glancing blows, the pet will also do good dps without much hit. With 300 skills vs 63 boss. Melee has to deal with a glancing blow 40% of the time at 35% reduced damage. And glancing blows can't crit. Boss lvl + 5 defense per lvl. Hunters are not hitting glancing blows with ranged attacks. Warrior's/rogues DPS is 50-70% auto attack and HS/SS. Where hunter might glance a few if they go melee without the hit/skill, still most of the dps will come from pet/trap/abilities that has higher chance to hit. Bosses were lower lvl in ST GNoM I believe.

I’m just saying adding weapon specialization runes is a boon to the SoD experience. 1h melee swings have a high chance to miss but it gets lowered heavily with getting +5 (a whole level) to your weapon. Ive seen MC gear have both hit and crit with occasional pieces with just crit.

@@BasedFalcon I think the runes was the absolute best solution for sod. They got their hands full as it is. Having the highest priority stat on a few selected items make gearing feel bad everytime you were supposed to be rewarded. Unable to equip it until you have enough gear with crit up to a threshold were crit will pull ahead. If you have the worldbuffs xD if not you need 2 more epics with 2%crit. Its similar to feral wolfshelm. Perma locked out from using any 4pc and every helmet is trash from lvl 40 until naxx. One solution i thought of was giving every spec a questline in the raids, killing the main bosses. One from each world boss, ony and rag. And give everyone 305 baseline. Replace racials with 1% hit instead. And you can only do 1 boss quest per week. It will reward people for doing the raids. You can also swap your wep skill prebis without any worries if you get an item.
