As one who resides in and has traveled and explored areas here in Northern Nevada, I really enjoy watching and learning from your wonderful videos!! This video ties in so well with the one you did on why Lake Tahoe is so deep it brings a deeper understanding of all the forces that go on often unseen and lost through time. I hope that you will produce many more videos showcasing the forces that lend to this land its rugged beauty!!

I’ve never seen petrified wood like that before. Looks extremely hard based on the weathering.
@thenaturalexperience2140Ай бұрын
@@Vicente007 indeed it was, but actually samples in Utah and Arizona that got petrified from clay burial are a lot harder

There's reasonable speculation that the Yellowstone Hotspot didn't originate in that far south. Due to the way the Pacific Northwest moves, it's possible that Smith Rock, located near Prineville, Oregon is a former remnant of the hotspot. Geology Professor, Nick Zentner discusses it in one of his videos. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fJfVaHqEbMiXb6M

@@aaronlevitz4984 I've actually seen this; the evidence is interesting for sure; the hotspot definitely had a wide spread influence in that huge interior PNW region, but where exactly it was located under at what time is heavily speculative. It's really intriguing stuff!
