Great video with allot of good info. It's been many years since I helped change a couple damaged gears in a 3-spd from a 54 Willy's and this brought back many good memories.Thanks.If we don't see you beforehand; Merry Christmas to you and all the fans.

Since I had all the main pieces for swapping the "Bingo Beige" Valiant to a stick car, it was an easy choice. It is an iron-case, OD version- I love when people say "That's not a good transmission for drag racing!" Well, it's a 4-door, '76, small-block sedan. My interest is in getting cruising speed & mileage as reasonable as possible. Not power shifting & slamming gears like Ronnie Sox hammering the quarter mile. Funny thing? Opened the side covers on my $50 gearbox and the tranny guy looks at me and says," How much? These teeth, synchro's, forks...they are all like new. Literally this box is fully done. That's an easy $2K in parts, because this is all perfect." I want the car to be as good of an 'all-around' car as possible using as much stock & reasonably priced pieces as possible. Fun to watch this build- BTW, was up in New Bern in early November. Very pretty area

@PoorBoysGarageUSMC I'm in Chapel Hill & Pittsboro, 😆. Bought acreage out there by Jordan Lake & I get waves of offers for the land...already have a 40' x 60' (16' walls) being built for it & a nice long driveway.. Quiet & room, no way I'm selling. Doing the "Southern Classic" in 2024. You should consider, great content & fun group of Cannonball buddies (no joke)

Id love to rebuild mine! And a couple overdrives. Wish someone would make a closer gearing instead of truck gears.
