hey dude, i actually talked to Arthur Hnatek about this section n he told me Tigran thinks of the whole thing as a 3/4 bar. the big E power chord comes at beat 3. n as for the metric modulation he also told me it is just a slow down, where the band follows the drummer. The two snare hits before going back to the original tempo signals the band where the "new old" tempo is. hv a grt day n congrats on the vid.

That totally makes sense, and I’m sure it’s much easier to play that way. I kind of view it as just a tempo change as well, I think that makes the most sense. Nice to get some info from the source though!

Is the E power chord really on beat 3? or is it on the and of 3? I always thought of it as it being on the and of 3 and i thought it was how they were feeling it since it lines up with the backbeat that comes after.

@@matiasusabiaga9198 it feels like beat 3 to me, but I could see it being the and of 3 as well. Some of this can be analyzed in different ways.

Cool video! This song and specifically this part with the tempo change is so weird but so good! Also, the 2 snare hits before going back to the original tempo is so satisfying

@@TheProgSchool more of this. I suck at writing riffs. I spent years just focusing on solos and totally neglected this stuff . Your methods are great. Already tried a few of your tips and it sounds fresh new and unique.. don't stop these videos . 1.A couple of your djent chord progressions video would be great. 2.Also how I can use those progressions in 5/8 or 7/8 time signature would be great. 3. How to make transition from riffs to riffs or ideas. Resulting in a full song 4. May be some drumming ideas specially Filler or a few Drum rolls for transition or in between riffs. I will really appreciate if u make videos in these topics.. Thank u in advance..
