Hello everyone, I’m today’s lecture I try to provide a short introduction to the Lacanian concept of the master signifier, how it relates to Slavoj Žižek’s notion of the critique of ideology, Chesterton’s Christian logic, as well as Marx, Hegel, Kant.

Would love to understand the process of swapping out master signifiers in the developmental levels of consciousness. For example mystical oneness vs economic pragmatism. Chesterton's Christian framing is a hard won perspective but one that is objectively more inclusive. Btw, kinda lost me at the end there why philosophy is still possible in a post-Hegelian metaphysics. What is the new master signifier for philosophy as such?

U have no original interpolation of Hegel, U R just passing a handmedown off as an authoratative version. For instance, Hegel's obsession with transcending? Yeah right, people have suggested this since 1973. Read his prose, that's not Hegel's aim. Wtf, Hegel and Kant were not friends, you arr just lumping all the people who you imagine to be philosophers into one genre
