We desperately need more PGA golfers for career mode. Having a pool of the same 9 golfers that we can be paired with runs dry eventually. They have great golfers in the game it just sucks that so many of them are LIV so you can't play with them in career. If nothing else they need to give us the option to either import a friends character to use as an opponent or use another one of your own characters if you have multiple. I love the playing partners so much but man we need more!

I had to watch The opening ceremonies like 800 times over and over again before the tournament started and watch you orchestrate the music lmao and seeing Jack, Gary, and Tom on there was incredible, just wish they would have put Arnold in there too. Absolutely great stuff.

Good video as always. The only thing that sucks with the masters (at least in the first round, haven't log back in for the 2nd round to see) is that they replay the beginning of it with the 3 legends taking a swing after you come back into the round if you saved it to play it later. I couldn't skip it from what I could tell. It was fine the first time, but after the save in the middle of the first round and coming back and it played that opening again I was like ok that's enough of that lol. Edit: It looks like its just round one it does it, so for anyone reading this as long as you play the whole round 1 it will not repeat the beginning of the Masters.

@@TheApexHound I shot a +8 on sim in my career lol. I really need to get pga 2k23 out of my head because the ball in EA really does roll a lot more and the wind is hard to gage some times. I had a lot of my 2nd shots off the green so I ended up doing a lot of great par putts (like 10+ feet ones lol). Without those putts I would have not made the cut and if I did I would have probably shot +17.

Until they can add an option for 1, 2 or 3 full rounds instead of 4 quick rounds like PGA TOUR 2K23 which got that right & is so much better with such flexibility, lowering the AI difficulty might be needed for tournaments with quick rounds & raised for full rounds. If you're a competent player, the simulated part of quick rounds is utter crap...it'll typically not deviate much from even par, making it practically impossible to win any tournament using simmed quick rounds regardless of your skill in tournaments where the winning score is better than 20- to 25--under with the limited number of holes!

I think if you're trying to replicate reality, it makes sense to turn several of the assistant tools off. However, in real golf, the caddy & player often scout ahead for upcoming shots. So leaving on the preview of the shot/terrain ahead - sorry, not sure what that function is called - isn't wildly unnatural, and may even replicate reality better.

Both EA and 2K/HB have a couple realism issues: 1) Balls should not roll through the rough etc lke they are rolling on asphalt.... and 2) I have played many courses over 30 years and you never get shadows from trees like we see in these games. I know they do it to make putting harder by f-ing with the optics but it is not realistic. If they have to pull things like this to make the game harder.. then they have missed the plot a little.

@@spoonsz you’ve got to think about the slope, elevation change, and club your using, as well as if it’s a draw or fade or high or low. All goes into account. I play with all the video game tools off and I almost always get the roll I’m expecting

Turn the AI up to 100 in career settings. They stop the bullshit -20% power off the tee and they don’t miss short putts. They hit some amazing shots and push you it’s a lot of fun.

@@TheApexHound yeah. I just played a final round on Sim with 100% AI. Finau was my partner and he shot 8 under. He was a pin seeking machine. Never saw a short putt missed and the power was never more than -6%.

Love the EA PGA Tour content Apex, but this is what I mean about the Masters' greens not replicating what typically happens at Augusta. For example your third shot on 9. There's no way that you could play directly at the hole and get that ball to stop above the hole with the 3 tier slope that 9 has.
