Great talk! Interesting approach. Materialize performance properties is unlike PostgreSQL/traditional SQL database materialize view where it's operationally challenging to maintain the view. Finally, the "ReactJS" for database is here? - Live materialize view ~= React virtual DOM (incremental diffing state across time dimension + patching DOM) - SQL-92 (declarative data) ~= JSX (declarative view) Also, I wonder how is this compare to Noria: github.com/mit-pdos/noria ? Noria is more like "memcache" for database.

What if I have a view which is doing Min/Max aggregation and has probability of updates and deletes, how will this work? Its has to reach out and query data to re-evaluate?

I would like to see the difference between this and noria a similar system developed at mit

I think the difference between this and noria is that noria caches and constantly updates the results of past queries, whereas materialize stores all the data in a view
